  1. Even if this whole fiasco hadn't occured, George Lucas would still be a mindless peon. He isn't writing these films--his teenage daughter is. I mean, the whole N'Sync thing??? COME THE FUCK ON. How out of touch with reality can you be? By the way, are the plans for Episodes 7, 8 and 9 officially trashed? A while back I heard they were going to do 3 sequels after Episode 3, but I don't see it happening.
  2. Preludes and Nocturnes? I agree with you on the ownage bit....but personally, I found P and N to be the weakest arc of the whole thing...it was only with the last issue (the first Death issue) that Gaiman really got into his groove. Personally, I'd say the best arc is The Kindly Ones, and the best one off being Ramadan. Oh, I liked it a lot. I read it backstage during play rehearsals and loved every page. When Morpheus got revenge on those who held him captive for so long, I almost marked out. I also liked The Kindly Ones and A Game of You quite a bit.
  3. 3 words: Preludes and Nocturnes. Sandman owns on so many levels, it's scary.
  4. Green Lantern without any hesitation on my part at all.
  5. Both are expert marksmen. Who triumphs and downs the other before he is picked off? Condition: --Green Arrow has exactly ONE of each of his special modified arrows (in this case--one knockout gas arrow, one explosive arrow, one grappling hook arrow, one flaming arrow, one sonic noise arrow and one arrow that deploys a net) and a quiver of 30 regular arrows. --Quatermain has 30 extra bullets for his Winchester and has two 6-shooter pistols at his disposal, too. He has enough pistol ammo to fully reload each pistol three times after using up the original 6 bullets in each. Place: A forest which is connected to a mountain range. Who is the better marksman? As much as I love Green Arrow, I say Quatermain. The man could hit anything at any point from practically any distance. As long as Allan could see Arrow, he could end it quickly. If it drags on even a couple minutes, though, Arrow could use any number of his special arrows to overcome Quatermain's relatively slow speed.
  6. Easy one: Who did Batman team up with in Batman: Hong Kong and what really happened to this person at the end of the book?
  7. Too bad he was a tool, and was killed because his face wasn't protected. Indeed. Intelligent guy he was not.
  8. Was this while Wolverine had his exoskeleton ripped out? Could Batman break adamantium? Wolverine would be the victor. Batman would only have a chance if Wolverine didn't have the adamantium. No, he didn't have the adamantium. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the adamantium covers the front of Logan's neck. Batman could easily jab him in the windpipe with a knife. I think it cover's his whole body, like a second skin. Cyber was the guy who had adamantium skin. Oddly enough, he was the only man who Wolverine feared. Cyber was always trying to get Wolverine's adamantium skeleton so he could fuse it to his and become practically indestructable.
  9. Did anyone watch this? I watched 2/3rds of it and it was very interesting to see how comic book characters have evolved over the years as society has changed. Thoughts?
  10. He can be touched. He is tangible, just not visible.
  11. Place: City streets of New York Conditions: All civilians are gone. Cars and buildings and anything else you'd see in NYC are still there. My vote goes to the Invisible Man, easily. Flash has had his troubles with invisible villains in the past (the White Martians, anyone?) and he won't be able to overcome the Invisible Man here in the middle of a street.
  12. Both are mechanical and technological geniuses. They are brilliant detectives in their own rights. They provide their respective leagues with all the technology they have. Both are skilled in innumerable fighting styles. They are also both the most mysterious and secretive members of their groups. This would be one amazingly cool fight. Conditions: Simply, who is the better tactician/fighter? Not a fight to the death--a fight of honor. Nemo cannot call upon the Nautilus because that would be blatantly unfair (plus it would be impossible in this setting). Batman, therefore, cannot use the Batboat, Batwing or Batmobile. Nemo has his scimitar, but Batman will also have a sword at his side. Place: A library--10 floors high with open ceilings which allows for jumping and scaling walls/cabinets high up.
  13. This one will probably be a blow-out, but you never know, I suppose. Place: Rooftops of Bordeaux, France Conditions: Not a fight to the death--just trying to knock their respective opponent unconscious. No civilians around. Hyde has the homefield advantage. If Hyde runs out of formula in his body, he IS allowed to replenish his power by drinking more.
  14. Oops...that's like the 4th time I've forgotten to put one of these as a poll.
  15. I am going to do a Justice League VS. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen poll series, but not as a group VS. group--as single competitors in single battles. BATTLE I: Mina Harker VS. Wonder Woman Place: Venice, Italy streets. No civilians are around, so both women can go all out. Diana and Mina are in a fight to the death. Yes, I know Justice League members don't normally kill people, but Diana is fighting for her livelihood against this badass femme fatale vampire. Essentially, they are both immortals, but Diana cannot afford to be turned into a vampire obviously, so she has to destroy Harker by any means necessary. Harker's motivation in this fight is to bite Diana and be able to control her under vampiric spell forever. Simple enough, yes? So...who wins? Poll 2 will be out tomorrow.
  16. :twitch: When was this??? I simply MUST see that.
  17. By far, I'm most looking forward to Xenosaga Episode II: "Jenseits von Gut und Bose". Others, though, are Kingdom Hearts 2, Silent Hill 4 and Final Fantasy XII.
  18. Because I'm Rick James, bitch!!! :toothy:
  19. Look, the screenshots aren't impressive because they haven't finished them yet. As far as I can tell, every stage will have some way to eviscerate your opponent. One stage, you can throw them through a red piece of glass and thousands of insects will devour their body.
  20. Well, I finally got Volume 4. It wasn't bad and Superman was written as some kind of god in this one. Overall, a damn good series, although little things brought the enjoyment level down. 8/10

    Mario Kart

I have it. Got bored with it after a few days, sadly.
  22. It's not very secret if they tell you before the game is released. Okay, the UNLOCKABLE characters. Happy?
  23. Well, her twin is back... Actually, they said in an article to expect every single character that has ever been in a MK game to make an appearance in the Konquest mode. As for the fighters, there will be 24 to choose from and Spiderman and Fred Flintstone will be secret characters...
