See, I originally thought everything was carried over, and now, after reading your "What's in, what's out" post, I think it's a fucking mess. I've used this analogy before, but it's still apt: Just replace Romans with "What can we keep when rebooting the universe?" and you've got DC's editorial team.

Regarding Green Lantern, the rumour is, Peter Tomasi will be promoted from GLC, to the main Green Lantern title. Everyone else on the creative teams of the Green Lantern family books, are still currently leaving the books entirely.

  4. Madagascar 3: The penguins steal the show in this. But overall, I really enjoyed it. It also looked very pretty on Blu-Ray.

I read it, thought it was good, but also kind of rushed at times. However, Bruce's reveal at the end, which Bleeding Cool have posted for anyone interested was quite interesting: And I can't wait for his Riddler story.
  6. Wolverine and the X-Men Volume 1: Fun. I was sort of confused for parts of it, and there was a bit much going on during some pages, but this was a fun start to the series. Green Arrow: Road to Jericho: This was good, it came across, when reading it, that Green Arrow could almost support a team of books, based on Connor and Mia, as well as himself, as it felt like a family book. The art for the most part was good. My issues were, this seemed like a soap opera story, in that if I read this volume without reading the previous 8, I would have been lost. Red Hood is the subject of the trade description, but he only shows up for two issues, and is inconsequential. He just shows up, talks to Mia, and then leaves. The story just sort of ends as well, like Winnick was told "Yeah, we said 3 more issues, but you've now only got one, make it work." Punisher: Return of Ma Gnucci: I really think that Ennis just had a pattern for his Punisher run, show how tough the bad guy is, then have Frank show up in the last page to blow their brains out. With the exception of Barracuda, that's what I've found in most of Ennis's run of The Punisher. it's not a bad thing, just an observation. This was supposedly the return of Ma Gnucci, the crazed crimelord, and although that title is a little misleading, as it's more about another violent lunatic anarchist, it's still an interesting read, but is one of the weaker trades of Ennis's run on The Punisher. Trades: 16 Comics: 6
  7. The Incredibles was the best of the ones I've seen. Still need to get around to Iron Giant.
  8. What I meant was that they'll likely want to see how well received GOTG is before they say yes or not to another film that takes place primarily in space. It's a risk to do something so different from the Earth based stories, they are going to want a gauge to see how interested the audiences are in seeing other inter-galatic adventures that take place without much happening on Earth.
  9. I watched the third episode of series one of Black Mirror yesterday, and the first episode of series 2. This show is incredibly dark, I wasn't a big fan of the first two episodes of series 1, but that third episode, where people can relive every moment from their lives on a screen, and analyse the hell out of it, was incredible. The series 2 episode was all about what we post online, and if that is a true image of us, and that was great, but also pretty damn dark. I'm looking forward to next weeks episode, and what that features.
  10. So, Aliens: Colonial Marines is supposed to be just awful. I'm so glad I cancelled my pre-order, now. Edit: This gif basically sums up the game:
  11. You ever watched a show, so cheap and just downright awful that it made you ashamed to be a fan of a certain thing? This show, and specifically this fake interview with a "Super-fan" made me kind of ashamed to be a wrestling fan. This show, Wrestletalk follows TNA iMPACT in the UK.
  12. It'll likely depend on how well GOTG does.

    The news thread

JP 2 also had the honour of being shot, and then going out of his way to forgive the guy, that guy was the epitome of awesome.
  14. Hitchcock: I enjoyed it. It's the story of Psycho, and how he went about producing it, and then a little bit on his brilliant advertising of the film. At some points, you feel like there is no tension in the film, as you already know the end result, and the film doesn't really bring anything new to the table, bar Hitchcock being obsessed with Ed Gein, and having to deal with that deranged obsession, but was still an enjoyable film. Seven Psychopaths: I didn't like it. I got bored, and the film just sort of goes on for way to long, without anything interesting happening. At one point I read some reviews of the film, while still watching it, and people praising it, and how great it was, I thought it was just dull.

In an update, it may not just be Johns leaving the Green Lantern titles, as Bleeding Cool are now saying all the creators are done with the lantern series of books. http://www.bleedingc..._medium=twitter

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20130211/us-comics-geoff-johns/?utm_hp_ref=entertainment&ir=entertainment Geoff Johns is finishing his run on Green Lantern with issue 20.
  17. I'll now be renting the Blu-Ray, in the hopes that they'll have an option to see the proper version.
  18. I got 39 out of 62 for 2011. It was the Diva's, and TNA mid-card titles that I just couldn't get, that and I forgot about Otunga and McGuillicutty were a tag team.
  19. The above from http://comicsbeat.co...ncelled-titles/ Hey remember when DC was all like, "We're dedicated to bringing female readers to comics"? SoS lasted about as long as it takes a fart to clear a room. Interesting to note the Liefeld touch on the books that have been cancelled, though he would be the first to tell you that the sales dropped after he left. Scarily also notes that Dial H currently sells 16,217. I'm done if they cancel it. Worst part about those sales numbers? Aren't those the retailer purchased numbers, not the sell through numbers, so in theory, the actual numbers could be a lot worse.
  20. Part of the way through, and I like Mike's idea that Qui Gon was a Sith the whole time. It kind of makes sense, when you think about it. Finding the boy, and trying to get him to become a member of the Jedi to destroy them from within. Also, maybe this isn't the first "Chosen one" that Qui Gon has brought the council, maybe he's just showing off all these kids to keep the council busy, while he takes care of Sith infiltration business. However, if true, Lucas probably forgot about it halfway through the script and said "Fuck it, he dies, just like Obi Wan did in Episode IV."
  21. Tangled: I enjoyed it. It's not the best Disney film ever, and you can work everything that's going to happen, but that doesn't stop it being fun. A lot of people see this as a Disney take on a Dreamworks formula, and it really is that, but still good fun. However some other spoilery things:
