James D.
Star-Lord's dad, maybe?
Missy
From what I've read, Russell is playing his father.
dc20willsave
While it wouldn't surprise me, a lot of sites are saying this mainly since James Gunn said in an old interview who he'd like to play the father. No official confirmation as of yet. Closest was a quote somewhere about the film casting both the father and the villain.
Missy
Nathan Fillion has been cast as Simon Williams, AKA WONDER FUCKING MAN!
Davedevil
Simon Williams' here, hair blowing in the breeze, the day needs his saving expertise!
Dread
My hope is that he's bearded future Simon Williams, aka Hollywood like in the original GOTG comic, but somehow I doubt this.
Stavros
He's definitely the Hollywood version, there's images coming out of a bunch of fake movies starring him from a film festival somewhere.

Donomark
That poster is really neat, like the Marvel hip-hop covers from a few months back
Dread
This is the only upcomign Marvel film I'm interested in and I adored that this teaser was really just a character moment. My favorite part of it all was Davin's reaction while we watched it together. As the trailer was winding down: "This is good, but I wish we could see some Grooooooooooaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!" teenalphabro
I'm personally excited for this one, but between my general burnout of comic book movies and my quiet fear of Marvel not knowing what made Guardians 1 good, I'm hoping that this movie is good. dc20willsave
It's still James Gunn so I have an inkling he'll do good by it.
Donomark
They showed a lot of footage at Comic Con and it honestly looks to be more of the same.
teenalphabro
If it's more of the same, then hell yeah.

teenalphabro
I'm really excited for it. And, honestly, it'll probably be one of the last Marvel movies I willingly see, so hey.
JackFetch
Reviews are out, and almost everyone is saying it's not as good as the first one. Also I got spoiled reading one of them, so fuck them. Why would a legitimate reviewer put spoilers in a review for a movie not out yet?
