Guest
I'm guessing waterloo Nope, although it was going on at the same time as the one I'm looking for, it ended sooner.
James D.
The Battle of Wavre. It was a victory for the French, but because so many French soldiers were there, they couldn't help out in Waterloo. Which, of course, was the death knell of the French in the Napoleonic Wars. James D.
Kevlar is five times stronger than the same weight of steel. However, it has a couple of weaknesses. If you jumped into a chlorinated pool while wearing a kevlar vest, what could happen to it given enough time?
Skyre
I know that kevlar is weaker when wet, but I'm not sure what the chlorine does. My educated guess is that it would decompose.

Skyre
Yay. Thank you chemistry class. In Java programming, if ("The number 56" + 3 + 9) was inputted into a string and then the string was displayed on the screen, what text would appear on the screen? P.S. sorry it took me so long to post my question. I've been busy this week. If I ever take more than 2 days to post then somebody else can take my question. Skyre
Just because you want it to say that, doesn't make it so. Any other guesses. I'll even make it a bit easier. It will say "The number " followed by a number.
Kscriv
The number 68?
Zephyr
I assume you are putting these in something like System.out.println, so it would display The number 5612 because it displays the string in quotes then the first plus sign adds another string which would be 3+9. I think
Skyre
Zephyr was very close. If I was printing it out directly it would appear like that. However, I'm putting it into a string first, which doesn't add the numbers on the end.

Skyre
Since Zephyr was the closest I'll give the next question to him. -edit- The answer was "The number 5639" Since it is being put into a string, and there are no brackets, the plus sign simply puts the numbers at the end of the string instead of adding them first. I know it doesn't make sense(As well as most things in Java), but that's how strings work in Java.
J Marv
So, what was the answer?
