Guest Posted July 26, 2011 Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 Stopping time causes all sorts of issues and leaves a lot of unanswered questions about nature and your ability to survive in a stopped environment, especially if you can displace matter and breathe and such. On a pure power fantasy level, I think everyone's dreamed of being able to control people at some point. In terms of anonymity and risk factor, there's nothing better. I do think it would require an extraordinary person to use it responsibly though. The idea in and of itself is something that's fascinated me for a while and I've tried to explore it in writing. I would probably be the last person in the world that anyone would want with that power. I have zero willpower and a lot of grievances. Anyways, I have been fascinated with it since seeing that Twilight Zone episode with the time stopping watch. Spoiler alert for a 50 year old series, the watch breaks and the guy gets stuck.
