ShaunKL
That's nice. I bought I new generation 360, but it won't recognize my old hard drive so I can transfer my data over. After two hours, two disconnects, and an "escalation specialist" later it turns out that even they are stumped. I'm stuck until they call back tomorrow. KnightWing
Halo: Reach has a bug that won't let you play cooperatively online if you have the 4GB console. So I can't do online campaign or firefight. LAME.
JackFetch
At what point do I send my ISP a bill for my phone minutes for being on hold with tech support and nobody ever answered?
ShaunKL
About the two hour mark. EDIT: Buying the John Williams Superman Theme from iTunes. There's an extra concert version of it. I was getting both, and without thinking, got the wrong one. There went 69 cents down the drain. And the version of the theme I got wasn't the one I needed. SuaveStar
Dealing with a seller on Amazon, who took payment, but did not respond to my three e-mails asking about the delivery, and when he would post the security software I ordered. I just sent them an e-mail saying then have till Friday to respond, or I am filing a claim against them. Its now that I realize I should have just said I'm filing a claim right now, and I should have. I ordered the software over 2 and a half weeks ago, and this was the final day of the delivery estimate, and no response. Has anyone ever dealt with crap sellers on Amazon? ShaunKL
The Xbox Live "Escalation Specialist" called back today, apparently they think my transfer cable is defective. So now I've bought another one and am SOL on playing any games on my 360 until Friday when it arrives.

Venneh
So, in memorable Japan moments, there is what happened today while we were waiting on three lateass stragglers to get there. There were about fifteen to twenty of us hanging around outside in the fresh air at the station entrance while our teacher was downstairs waiting on other students. This is right in the area where the Japanese Diet is, and also right across from the Prime Minister's residence. You know why you don't hear much about protests in Japan? Because the police REALLY crack down on loitering. We'd been there for twenty minutes, coming up on a half hour, and suddenly our group is approached by a helmeted policeman asking if we understand Japanese. No one's stepping forward so I do, explaining that we're students on a field trip, and that our teacher is downstairs waiting for some other students to arrive. When he asks us where we're going, I explain that we're going to be going down to Hibiya Park and walking around the Diet in the process. I ask if he needs me to go get our prof, and he says no, it's okay, and then he leaves us alone, but the three or four policeman in the area who called him are watching us really close. At that point, I go down the station stairs to find our prof coming up, and explain what just happened, and he says that anyone else who hasn't shown up at this point (this is coming up on twenty minutes since people were supposed to be there) would just have to call because we didn't want to attract any more police attention than we already had. Plus, twenty plus white people are ALWAYS going to be a subject of police attention in a political area like this. The moral of this story? Don't be fucking late or you'll make your classmates attract police attention.
KnightWing
If it turns out that Japan is actually a 1984-style controlled society, I'll laugh.
Venneh
It's not that strict. It's more large groups of people hanging around that look suspicious to the police (if you are white, you are automatically suspicious in some areas). And there IS an area for protesters nearby. Guest
I'm really getting tired of political attack ads on TV. "My opponent has gone on record as saying he only likes chocolate a little bit. Is this the type of indecisiveness you want?" "If you don't vote for me, the other guy is going to start taxing air. Yeah, air. Then after he taxes the air, he's going to find a way to put lava inside of it." "I have it on good authority that my opponent may be attempting to clone Godzilla." Guest
I'll be honest, if they replaced the donkey and the elephant with King Kong and Godzilla, I'd be a lot more interested in politics.

Stavros
Yeah, that Japanese security thing is scary. We had a similar thing in tiananmen square in Beijing, there was an unspoken plain-clothes perimeter of security around our 50-strong group at all times. MaxPower
Found a perfect present for my sister for Christmas but due to some crappy warranty thing, Amazon won't ship to Australia. It's fricken lego for christ sake! Problem is it's $80 in the US or to buy from a shop here in Oz it's $249!

Guest
Jeez dude, I like you and all, but does every single Facebook post you make have to be about how the world is a corrupt, fanatical wasteland and the evil captialist pigs must be stopped? How do you get out of bed in the morning? (Preston knows who I'm talking about.)
