  1. Day 4- Least Favorite Limited Series BEFORE any of you jump down my throats about my choice, bear in mind that 1) this is my least favorite limited series, not what I consider the worst of all time and 2) I'm counting only books which I've actually read in this thread. I know for a fact Ultimates 3, Countdown, Cry for Justice, All-Star Batman and Robin, and Onslaught Reborn are worse comics, based upon detailed reviews of them, but I'm not counting them. Therefore, my least favorite limited series is... Dishonorable Mention:
  2. Day 3- Favorite Comic (Limited Series) Honorable Mention:
  3. Enough of your excuses! Yes, do your homework, lady.
  4. My list will be rather narrow in focus, but I'll do it anyway. Day 1- Favorite Comic (Ongoing) Honestly, nothing in particular. I read only trades and haven't read nearly as many comics as you guys. Day 2- Least Favorite Comic (Ongoing) Copy, paste. I've read both good and bad stuff from Batman, JLA, Teen Titans, and Ultimate X-Men, though. (I will have a lot more to say about limited series, though, as I have more of those than I have stuff from mainstream DC or Marvel continuity)
  5. This is an episode that was ruined by the ending. It felt like the writer's realized that they had written themselves into a corner and ran out of time so they decided, "Okay, it's all a dream." I mean, even if we had a n "Or is it?" ending, that would have been better. They could have had a closeup on Batman's eyes and it be a total tribute to Thriller. It didn't ruin it for me. And it did kind of have a "The End???" ending with Batman saying he was hungry.
  6. It doesn't. And it was AWESOME. Batman as a vampire is so God-damn cool.
  7. On that note, what do the people here that about the idea of a non-Latino Bane (for all we know, he might still sport an accent)?
  8. Three things: One, in the WFP episode with "Kaptain Ku Klux", you reviewed the first six episodes of Teen Titans, none of which were "Troq." Secondly, what on the Earth is the banner for the episode from? Finally, congrats Dubs. It is well-earned.
  9. Nope. I've been hoping that Talia wouldn't be appearing for ages, since her inclusion could potentially turn the film into a clusterfuck.
  10. Impressive...MOST impressive.
  11. The one with Batboy and Ruben and Scooby Doo? If so, I'm glad I'm not alone in that sentiment. I think it was the Marvel Family episode. WHAT??? That episode was awesome. You can't top baby Batman.

  13. They're just discussing this now? The movie comes out in two months. Is it common to record voices for CGI characters so close to the release date? Sometimes, yes. For example, I remember distinctly that it wasn't announced that Ian McKellan would be voicing Iorek Byrnison in "The Golden Compass" until a few months before the film was released. Mind you McKellan wasn't cast until a little late in the game because the studio wanted a bigger name. The part had already been dubbed by Nonso Anozie so it's kinda a douche move. Wonder if that might have even happened here. This.

  15. Unfortunately, I have to agree...just hope he has better lines than he did in the teaser trailer so that he's not a complete joke. As for Michael Clarke Duncan voicing Kilowog
  16. By that same token, "Batman RIP" would've been the "Christmas with the Joker" of Waiting for the Trade, for like that episode, a lot of people quite like it, but the hosts loathed it. I'd actually go with "The Laughing Fish." Mike and James were negative-to-lukewarm about that episode, with James giving it a 5 and Mike bumping up his score from a 3 to a 6. "Christmas with the Joker", however, was ranked very low from the beginning and did not have its score bumped up.

  18. I'd be fine with him for just being the main villain of the first film then being banished to the Phantom Zone at the end, rather than having a presence throughout the whole franchise. Do y'all think he should be assisted by Ursa and Non, or just be on his own against Superman?
  19. Yeah. Ushering in a new Superman franchise for the 21st century by bringing back the big villain of the 1980s.
  20. Yay for cartoon voices during reviews leading up to a "babychest"
  21. That is equally likely, but I will hope that that is not the case.
  22. Source Hmmmm...this is better news than I had expected (when I saw the spoiler tag I thought it'd be revealing that Talia is in the film and thought "O God no"). I'll bet it involves Bane's origin and the League of Shadows setting him up from birth to be a weapon, but we'll see.
  23. When I was younger, I would have said "Return of the Jedi" because it's more action-oriented and has a powerful and ultimately happy ending. As I grew older, however, I started to appreciate the darkness of "The Empire Strikes Back", as well as the scenes with Yoda (the scene in which he lifts the X-Wing out of the bog and Luke says "I don't believe it", and Yoda replies, "That...is why you fail" is one of my favorite film scenes of all time). "Empire" now currently ranks among my favorite movies of all time. Even so, there is still a special place in my heart for "Return".
  24. Anything having to do with the lameness of the Jax-Ur and Mala episodes, from the black hole to Superman's stupidity whilst dealing with them.
