  1. It really is a direct comics adaptation, there's none of the prequel nonsense here. That's why I have more expectations that Flash could succeed, it's more capable of delivering than Gotham might be.
  2. Well Moon Knight is certifiable.
  3. Well, one of the aspects of the colourfulness of his outfits they've explained over the years is that he is fearless, and doesn't mind presenting a target to enemies in order to throw them off. It's similar reasoning to that of Dick Grayson as Robin.
  4. I was thinking the exact same thing. Although to be honest, it's a better fit for a tv hero. They tried to use the red before and its very hard to get right.
  5. I don't mind the blue and yellow, but that's because that's the era I grew up with.
  6. How come I've never heard of noseless Wolverine.
  7. That does solve the problem of Bruce's relative youth and keeping a good progression going in line with his ageing, I'm all for that.
  8. This has been way better than I feared, the only villain who annoyed me with his blatantness was Eddie wink wink nod geddit he's the Riddler Nygma. It's far from being another Smallville, it feels like Penguin's getting an actual arc and thankfully the show has Gordon to base itself around so the pressure to progress isn't all on Bruce, although to be honest I think they'll struggle to keep Bruce and Alfred involved in interesting ways. Still, example vigilantes are a nice idea, and there's quite a few villains and characters who can make pre-Batman appearances as part of the fabric of Gotham.
  9. With my interest level this might as well be an actual secret.
  10. They're combining those books to release their own line of beers.
  11. This might be the single nerdiest sentence I've ever seen.
  12. Well Sony wanted them to be as popular as Avengers but you can't build a one-hero franchise these days, not to that billion dollar mark anyway.
  13. Hey, congrats on finally becoming a real adult Dubs! Anyone below 30 is basically still a teenager. Happy Birthday!

    The Music Thread

Tremendous, and somehow very appropriate for metal?
  15. Hah, hadn't thought of that! Hopefully he just berates Addison into helping him.
  16. You think he hit too close to home with the Zionist conspiracy?
  17. I'm about 25 episodes into Nitro and I've come to one conclusion- Lex Luger is underrated. Dude is great in his undercover heel role and his matches are good. He gets a bad rap because guys like Austin and the WWE got to write history, but personal issues with him aside he was a genuine talent. Yes he was a jerk and yes he was an idiot, but he was also worthy of his spot.
  18. Oh sure, you talk bad about Jewish people when drunk you're banned from Hollywood, you make films about how bad the English are and you win Oscars.
  19. Any publicity is good publicity. Is a truism I've never believed.
  20. Chillingly awesome. Trust Nolan to find that next line of expectations and blow through it.
  21. My experience was more along the lines of watch half a new Batman, waiting 30-40 minutes of live entertainment show guff, and then watching the second half. It was infuriating. The summer that X-men was on at 8.30 every day was one of the best I can remember.
  22. Whelp, that's my Netflix subscription done on principle. Seriously, I'm working out in my mind if I genuinely need Netflix anymore after that announcement. And it wasn't even an issue before that, I wasn't planning to stop subscribing ever.
  23. I was eliminated almost instantly, but I wasn't there to win, I was there to make friends. Never saw any of them again.
