  1. Looks like him, doesn't it? Its a Steven Seagal mask he wears to hide his secret identity! Its all falling into place!
  2. Seriously, this is my favorite comic ever now. I can't imagine anything else beating this. No clue what I'm going to read next. I might continue with Rising Stars, as my store is missing the first 4 volumes of Y: The Last Man and Transmetro still hasn't arrived yet. People tell me 52 and the Crisis stories are good, but I'm a bit soured by how overtly complex they've made everything. Last thing you want to do if you;ve been out of the loop is look at ANY DC event. 52 is over-rated in my opinion. The most interesting story takes place in one episode and then we never see that character in the series again.
  3. I think its not unreasonable that Nick Fury will show up in all the new Marvel films. Even if it doesn't set up the Avengers, its still a cool fanboy deal to get him into them to confirm thier continuity. Besides, they already confired that Dr Strange is present in the Spider-man movieverse.
  4. I'm very glad you've given this a shot. I'm looking forward to getting it myself tomorrow.
  5. Exactly. A hero is as good as his foe, which make Ghost Rider pretty shit in my eyes.
  6. He loves to be the character? Give him a leather jacket, a can of Petrol and some matches. Just don't ask me to watch.
  7. Oh good lord. The first one was such tat that I can't imagine even taking the trouble to illegally download this one. When Ghost Rider fights someone cool call me.
  8. Or so they thought. I want a completed copy of that film by the end of the week or I release the Joker gas into Gotham cities water supply! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
  9. Sliders. Totally solid Sci-fi basis that could do quite nicely. I actually quite miss that show. My choice would be a what would seem to be a complete restart at the beginning but at some points they could make sly references to the old show hinting that they occur in the same continuity.
  10. I'd love to have a coat like that <<<--------------
  11. I'll buy anything by Brian K Vaughan, Brian Wood, Robert Kirkman, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker and recently I've discovered that unwittingly I've been buying a huge amount of Matt Fraction. I also tend to be open to trying any Alan Moore, Frank Millar, Mike Mignola, James Robinson, Brian Azzarello, Andy Diggle, Bill Willingham and Garth Ennis. Thats a daft amount of Brians. When it comes to art only Alex Ross really grabs me, although I won't automatically buy his stuff every time. Theres art I really like of course but I can't think of an instance in which great art has sold me on a book. Poor art can turn me off a book instantly though.
  12. Huh. I just finished Fables up to its last trade and loved it. Once the series starts to play around with the homelands and alters the internal dynamic of its main characters it really finds its strength. Whatever floats your boat though.
  13. Not bad. The big-ass grill will take some getting used to but there are far worse choices. I wouldn't have minded a corvette though.
  14. There are a great many books you should read before the Spider-man Marvel Knights series. I was not impressed by it. I love Preacher though, its a fantastic book. I'd read the first two and then got my hands on the complete rest of the series and finished it in very short order. I recent read the first Transmetropolian and really liked it, I'll definitly revisit it at some point. Spider is just crazy. I always pimp these books- Invincible (redefines superhero genre), Walking Dead (Best zombie story in any medium), Y the Last Man (apocalyptic concept where allt he men are dead but one) and a personal favorite of mine- Sleeper. Fucked up double agent with superpowers trying to determine who he is really loyal to. Sleeper has 4 trades that tie into Wildstorm but I read the whole thing through with no background knowlage and no difficulty.

    Deadpool's fate?

This guy. Mighty Avengers resident Thor/Wolverine replacment. He's brings the axe that cuts off the head that rocks the body that rocks the party. He's awesome. And yes, Deadpool joining Mighty Avengers, even if it were just for a short run, would be the most perfectly incredibly awesome thing ever. Inappropriate comments about Ms Marvel? Buddy-buddy wall to wall slaughtering with Ares? I can't imagine anything more fun. In fact I'd really like to see Deadpool hopping from team book to team book trying to find a real home leading up to the launch of his own new series. He could start with Mighty Avnegers, get sent down to Avengers: Inititive, they approve him for the T-bolts (one shot), then he could move over to trying join the New Warriors, the New Avengers and then finally his own book. Keep him out of the X-books I think, he's better off mixing it up in the worlds of crazy superheroics and sneaky ninjas than the mutant stuff.
  16. It started to slip in my eyes around about the time that they introduced carnage, but recently its very much back on form. I think a fresh artist has energised the series.
  17. Meh, the Infinity Gauntlet is a bit Gaudy for my taste. I mean, you couldn't wear it out could you? I'd carry around the Starman Rod/staff anyday.
  18. Totally sweet list, I'm not going to bicker over positioning. Although if you combine all the variations of the Lance of Longinus including the Hitler owned version I'd think it would place in the top ten. Also, including Hellboys' Samaritan at the expense of his mighty Right Hand of Doom is just wrong.
  19. 11. Evangelion Unit 02 (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

    Simpsons 11/18

That is about as specific a reference as you will EVER get in a mainstream show. Kudos, I'll have to get that one. Also I would totally read that book. The creative team for Power Pack would do as long as they maintained the violent introspection of the source material.

    Futurama

Besides that, I love the fact that they brought back so many characters, like Santa and whatnot. That opening scene was also awesome with the Box Network. I'm definitely looking forward to the next three movies.
  22. 6) Batou (Ghost in the shell)
  23. Christopher Pine is only one letter away from Christopher Pike, who was the captain Kirk replaced on the Enterprise... Coincedence?
  24. Croc has been eating people in the comics for a while. He definitly has killed people with his teeth before.
