  1. I almost chose that one too. Also, this is the best Spider-man costume EVER. Black Bolt, simple but classic. Also, Genis Vell had two totally pimp outfits, his crazy god Kree army suit- and his Captain Marvel suit
  2. What are, in your opinion, the coolest Superhero costumes? The Eradicator Cool nod to Kryptonian style whilst also emphasising the inhuman nature of the Eradicator. Scarlet Spider Very 90's but also refreshing. The extra belt and wrist stuff makes sense because Ben Reilly used several gadgts that Spidey didn't. Azreal Any of the animated Mr Freeze costumes. Mike Mignola designed a classic here.

    The Music Thread

    Soundtrack to Sweeney Todd.
  4. All I could think about watching that trailer was Nick Hogan.
  5. You can't disguise your true identity Nostrum. How's the empty eye socket?
  6. I'm equally confused. Why bother trying to link all these stories, they are turning classic DC books into animated features, if they weren't connected in the original format then why bother here? You cannot possibly fit The New Frontier into continuity with Doomsday or any of the other animated features but its a great story and one the want to tell. Its also far more confusing to the general public to have to pick and choose what films are in or out of continuity. DC had an established base for a long time and now they want to move beyond that. Its different for marvel since the majority of thier new animated films are modelled on the Ultimate universe and are designed to fit together. This doesn't conflict with anything else they have done recently either, unlike a who bunch of DC flicks all in a collective and yet seperate continuity to the original DCAU.
  7. PGR3. Just completed all the bronze challenges.
  8. Okay the latest Ant-Man series with Eric O'Grady (The Iredeemable Ant-Man) was awesome and could easily spin out of the shield continuity established in Iron Man and the new Hulk film, but apparently thats not what they are doing. They are using former Avengers members Hank Pym and Scott Lang as the two primary Ant-Men in the film, and that its likely to be more of a look at a modern successor to a classic old-school hero. Really I think the amoral Eric O'Grady version is much more marketable, especially since there are far more comedy elements to play up and there are far better costumed personas to explore the past/modern theme they are looking at, such as Captain Marvel. The idea of a teaser trailer featuring O'Grady's encounter with Carol Danvers, I just can't believed they'd pass that up.
  9. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
  10. Yup. Really frickin' good. As with the original story its DC buffs that will get the most out of this, since some stuff is too random for the casual fan. Great stuff in my book though.
  11. As hard-edged as the Ultimate universe could be at times it was quite innocent in terms of its comic-book mythology and storytelling. This just reeks of the sort of comics industry cynicism you'd find in Mark Millar's or Warren Ellis's most extreme titles. Its totally wrong for the setting.
  12. Yeah...not good. Not good at all. Can I have some characters instead of these at most one-note cliches? I'm upset that Ultimate Spidey is even associated with this nonsense.
  13. Ben Reilly. Although my favorite period of his was when he was actually meant to be the real Peter Parker, and therefore he was the one Stan Lee created. At the time.
  14. Rosario Dawson as the Crow? That actually works in my mind.
  15. Sin City is the best, but Desperado is my favorite. Tonnes of awesome gun battles plus naked Selma Hayek, who can complain about that?

    Aquaman's hands

If nothing else I like how they had Aquaman losing his hand in the Justice League cartoon.
  17. Actually I have 3 weeks of overtime to blow this weekend and theres a comic shop in Bristol that a buddy just told me about last night. I figure a couple of Sandman trades and maybe a special treat (lots of old special editions there) plus a DVD boxed set of Frasier or something.
  18. If Blue Beetle joins Booster Gold for thier own regular joint book I'll buy all of Yoda's Countdown issues*. *Crazy oaths made on websites are not legally binding
  19. I'd have thought that Diddy Kong would present greater legal problems with P Diddy and all.
  20. As far as I know thats just a door pillar. Thats what they called the bit they are replacing on one of our company vehicles that one of our guys smashed up.
  21. Thanks, I've been looking to pick this up to go with my Green Arrow/GA & BC run. Good to know its good.
  22. Best moment of 2008 in the awards 12 months from now? Yoda's redneck Sigmund Freud fan.
