  1. ^ Will likely beat me in the E-2 award for best video game review again this year.
  2. Angle Grinder Man FTW! I also like that Mr. Silent provided a lengthy quote for his segment.
  3. I've been playing lots and lots of Rock Band, with small doses of Beautiful Katamari and Call of Duty 2 thrown in. I swear, one of these days I'll return to regular reviews...
  4. There was a mission where you drove around on cocaine in GTA: Vice City Stories, so I don't know that drunk driving will be that big of a deal. If anything, it'll be a repellent.
  5. Couldn't agree more. This was filthy.
  6. When I read this article this morning, I had a premonition of Brock getting absolutely KTFO. Which would suck, because I'd love to see him tear through the heavyweight division. They need somebody with that kind of personality to rule the roost and sell fights. I'm still picking him over Mir, although Frank looked much improved in his last fight.
  7. I'm not sure if this is a nationwide phenomenon, but people bring their dogs with them EVERYWHERE here. Saw it all the time when I worked at Circuit City. We went to Lowe's this weekend and ran into a couple with a Corgi in their shopping cart. Does the dog need to help you pick out paint thinner?
  8. It's definitely worth a read, as long as you don't have a weak stomach. Glad to hear you agreed, Mike. I was kind of down on this arc after the first chapter, but when Goran Parlov came back in the second, it never looked back. It isn't often that a writer gets a chance to definitively conclude an story like this one, and it's even more rare that he succeeds. Incidentally, a belated welcome to the team, Dan!
  9. Just rotten, chilling news. 28 is too young, doubly so considering he had a young daughter. Somebody mentioned it over on the Oratory, but I certainly agree that this is going to make The Dark Knight a much different experience than it would've been before.
  10. I hate living in Florida. Apparently no one here is below the age of 87.
  11. Agreed, it's a very bright palette for a villain.

I've been a three-at-a-time member for about three years now. Love it. I have them shipped to the office where I have a high-end computer, so I can rip/burn them while I work and drop them at the post office on my way home. It was an even better setup when we had a USPS drop box within walking distance - they'd come in and go out on the same day. Sadly, they eventually removed the drop box. My only complaint is that I get a lot of scratched / unplayable discs. They do NOT check those things before they send them out. I got one last week that had been scribbled over with permanent marker!

    Aquaman's hands

    Another vote for the hook.
  14. First I'm hearing of this. This is about the way I expected the Bush regime to go out, though... kiss the public's ass with free money, then let the next administration catch the flack for making budget cuts to accommodate for it. Personally, I've been hoping to travel abroad in 2008 so I'm hoping that's what this money will go toward. That'll cover about a third to a half of a travel package to Japan... and I do love the idea of spending money that's intended to stimulate the economy to leave the country.
  15. Does Tarantino just kind of lend his name out to movies at random? How is he involved with this?
  16. I've been archiving my contributions to IIWY? on my Blogger account, and got a comment this week from Scott Wegener himself regarding this review. Very cool!

Well, that last throw was a kind of feast or famine situation for Romo. They were in range, they had no time left, it was fourth down and they had to have a touchdown. He forced it into double coverage and the Giants' secondary made the play. I can't blame Romo for that. Incredible weekend of playoff football, even if some of the wrong teams won.
  18. They have an awful lot to wrap up in one issue, but I'm optimistic. It hit a lull for about a year, but has picked up nicely for the conclusion.
  19. I am both honored and entertained by the new avatar. Where did you find such a great likeness? :)

Aside from his last two performances, Eli's best game of the season came in week one on the road against Dallas. He threw for 312 yards, 4TDs and just one interception. Ultimately they lost the game, but it was a shootout and if TO isn't healthy (or, god forbid, not even in the lineup) it's very likely that the Giants could march into Dallas and tear it up. A lot of people are taking the Jints in this one for good reason. They've come on strong late, while the Cowboys have shown more than a few flaws and are very likely to be rusty.
  21. I rewatched Maverick a few weeks ago - hadn't seen it in close to a decade. It has NOT aged well.

    UFC 79: Nemesis

Yeah, but Rashad hasn't really beaten anyone on the upper tier yet. Even Tito, who is borderline these days, took him to a draw and would have snagged the decision if he hadn't been docked a point for grabbing the fence. And that's a guy who Chuck destroyed convincingly on two occasions... the most recent barely a year ago. You could say Forrest doesn't deserve a title shot, because Tito beat him, but Griffin has a huge win over Shogun to his credit and is kind of a right-person-right-time kind of guy at the moment. None of Rashad's victories have been anywhere near that meaningful.
