God. I bought that. Day 1. What can I say? I was a kid.
  2. Please tell me that was a sarcastic statement.

Ditto. I have to read that. It kind of reminds me of Barry Ween, where his intelligence led to ultimate fighting skills and weapons expertise. God I miss Barry Ween.
  4. Nicely said, Dubs. I didn't want Bruce dead forever. Hell, I didn't want him dead at all. But if you're going to do it, actually fucking do it. Honestly, I'm sick of the Batman universe being Grant Morrison jerking off about how clever he is.
  5. I don't see how you can honestly think of it as anything but fucking awful. To me, the only acceptable thing was what Yoda said, Tim traveling back to save him.
  6. Sure! That really has no bearing on me.
  7. Newsarama story Honestly? Fuck Grant Morrison.
  8. Source Awesome! I didn't know that. Dread, you have taught me my "something new" for the day.
  9. That's a good list. Like I said, I had doubts about Hank McCoy and Banner. You're the only person who had T'Challa listed at all. That's surprising to me, as I didn't know that he was any kind of genius.
  10. Pretty much since he was introduced, Amadeus Cho has been described as "The Seventh Smartest Person in the World." No less than Reed Richards says this. But this has continually brought up one question in my mind - as perhaps it's supposed to. Who ARE the smartest men in the Marvel U? No. 1 and No. 7 are obvious, but filling in the rest is hard. Where would someone like Bruce Banner or Beast fall? What about all the super-genius villains? We're discounting robots like Ultron and MODOK and gods and such, I assume, but what about the multitude of scientists and mutants in the Marvel Universe? Here are my best guesses on the list. I'd love to see everyone else's. 1. Reed Richards (duh) 2. Hank Pym 3. Doctor Doom 4. Tony Stark 5. The Leader 6. Mad Thinker? 7. Amadeus Cho
  11. Yeah, I guess you're right. But outside of Osborn - really one of the best villains of anyone, anywhere - Spidey's rogues gallery is very 'meh' to me. They even made Venom into a bitch.
  12. Cool shit. I'll try and do some extra ones. See if you agree/disagree. Batman: Ra's Al Ghoul. Don't know how you can pick another, really. Superman: I'll go with Braniac right now. When the New Krypton endgame comes, I'll probably say Zod. Spider-Man: Kraven. Yes, he died a long time ago. But when I think of villains who make me think "Wow, Spidey is fucked," it's Osborn, then Kraven. Flash: Captain Cold. I love this character. The other Rogues waver between evil and pathetic, but Snart is just fucking scary bad. Grodd is a close second for me. Green Lantern Hal Jordan: Black Hand. I think it's pretty much a no-brainer by this point of Blackest Night. Captain America: Baron Zemo. The airplane blowing up is a seminal moment of the character's history, as was the formation of the Masters of Evil The Fantastic Four: Galactus or Namor. It's hard to even think of someone other than Doom for them, huh? Truthfully, though, it seems like every mad scientist villain in the Marvel U thinks of Reed Richards as his greatest rival, so it's really hard to pick. The X-Men: Apocalypse, I guess. But, really, they have villains coming out of the woodwork, so it's a pick-and-choose.
  13. I was pissed a few times this week.
  14. So, in the hardcover, Hope is an evil fetus? As for Noh-Varr, it looks like some crazed combo of Captain Marvel, Punisher, Deadpool and Iron Man.

I think we're all forgetting that the Star Wars facebook thing was awesome. I think that's the key here. Where'd you find that, Koete?

    The Blackest Night

Adventure Comics #4 - Should I spoiler tag this? Well, I can take it off later.
  18. In the end, I'd say Indigo, but Blue is up there.
  19. I'm shocked that "Invincible" is still around and still great. That was a book that I would have thought had a limited story arc, but it's just been fantastically built.
  20. The latest ones are just FULL of guest stars. You listed five, I think, for the past couple of issues? It's actually a lot more than that. All of X-Factor, plus a "team" that Red Hulk put together, plus Domino, who started the whole arc to begin with. And the whole thing FUCKING SUCKS.

    The Blackest Night

I'm talking about sacrificing yourself for something. Not being injured and dying. But being completely healthy and giving your life to save someone. Very different.
