I play a weekly trivia night run by a guy in his fifties who does trivia nights for a living. Anyway, in December he has another job. He speaks Japanese and a shopping centre in Japan pays for him to fly over and for about 3 weeks he is their shopping mall Santa. Below is the email he sent out to all his trivia attendees about this years service.

I read a piece suggesting that this was one of the steps towards them monetising their service. Something about the timeline being a more efficient way to collect data and sell to advertisers. Not that I'm a cynic or anything

Was the soundtrack Manson? I agree it looks pretty good, still haven't seen the first one, maybe because I didn't think they could live up to God of War.

Really enjoyed this. It was a really good sequel of sorts to the last one, not in a story line way, more of a feel and vibe of it. They did a bit of picking on themselves for the absurdity of some of Ethan Hunts antics. The major downside side to it was the main female lead, I haven't seen her in anything else, but I thought she was woeful. Maybe she was just outclassed by sharing most of her scenes with either Cruise and/or Renner but I thought she was out of her depth. Even in the few scenes she had with Josh Holloway she wasn't that good. He was a bit of a surprise packet though, hope for his sake he gets some more film roles as he definitely held his own. Not sure there will be another one with Cruise in the lead though, as he was definitely showing his age in a couple of scenes.

Just saw it and the voice is really bad. Anyone saying it isn't is giving Nolan far too much leeway. Yes, it is in a noisy plane, but if it's a scene to set-up the main villain of a movie, you shouldn't have to struggle with it. In that regard it wasn't anything like the bank scene from TDK. I'm not going to pass judgement on the whole movie based on this voice thing, as it will be crazy easy to fix as they could record the whole dialogue again, Darth Vader style and no one would know.

My housemates nicknamed me "The Man" and at first I thought it was a compliment, which from them it was. Then I realised it was just because I did normal things like thought of them when I was at the market, cleaned, tried to fix something myself before calling the agent, etc. So basically being their bitch It's amazing how what we can view as the absolute minimum to being a nice person other people view in a high regard.

Were you told the context behind it? Other than your strong jaw line and constant feats of heroism?

So I got the Galaxy S2 and you're right, the audio part of it isn't that flash hot. But I have found a few apps that auto download podcasts, but am still looking as I want something that integrates more seamlessly with songs and video. Oh and that software from Samsung, Kies, is just woeful. The downside to the Galaxy so far is that there appears to be so much bloatware on it, yet very few useful apps.The customisation is fantastic but as an out of the box solution it's currently a long way behind the iPhone.

I've followed a few people after their witty tweets. We have a massive twitter audience for a live Monday night politcal debate show on the public broadcaster that is always the #1 trend here in Australia and sometimes makes the worldwide trends. But I don't think the retweet button is good. I always try to do the RT @..... thing so that person gets more credit for their comment.

Reports out of the prologue are that it is almost impossible to understand. Will find out on Monday when I go to see it.
