  1. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/fun.games/06/...ster/index.html Well, at least they're now telling the truth about the game's plot. Demanding a donation. Jesse Jackson would be proud.
  2. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/fun.games/06/...r.ap/index.html First, the headline: "Cathedral shootout game under fire". That is just a brazen, blatant, bold faced lie. It isn't a cathedral shootout game One scene takes place in a cathedral. Big difference. Second: Rival gunmen? Isn't this about an alien invasion? Why can't people tell the truth?

    World War Hulk

So, philosophically... Were the heroes right to banish Hulk from Earth? Now, However, Hulk is a major danger. I know it is a different universe, but look at the damage done and hundreds of people killed by a single rampage by Ultimate Hulk in The Ultimates. They may have violated Hulk's civil rights and acted as vigilantes, but was it really wrong to seek to protect the people of Earth? (Of course, if banishing the Hulk was justified, it really makes no sense to not do the same thing to the Abomination, Juggernaut, or Carnage. Don't try to examine whether it is consistent, because your head will explode.)
  4. I agree. It would have been a much better story had he died at the end, but then they would have been able to make huge amounts of money off the sequel. And that's what it is all about.
  5. Also, I had no idea who Damage was, and had to do some research to figure it out. At first, I thought Atom Smasher had a new name, a new costume and some new powers. I assume his face was destroyed in Infinite Crisis #1, but there is nothing in that issue to suggest that the Reverse-Flash destroyed Damage's face.
  6. On some level, the use of Nazis makes sense because early JSA history is tied to the Nazis. Including Nazis would have made more sense, though, had the Nazis had a motivation to get even with the JSA because the JSA helped the Allies win the war. You could have done that without Vandal Savage.
  7. He looks like he needs to poop. Maybe that's why he's so angry all the time. Anyway, I agree. Terrible.
  8. They've been teasing us with the Lizard in the last two movies. As for Carnage? Blah. Only if it's an R-Rated horror movie.
  9. Yep. While it is understandable that Harry would want to save Mary Jane, his forgiveness of Spider-Man was too quick. While Peter did not kill Norman Osborn, he did try to kill Harry for no other reason than vindictiveness. The final battle would have worked much better had Harry swooped in to fight Venom and Sandman without renewing his friendship with Peter. There are other problems. Having Peter kiss Gwen Stacy right in front of Mary Jane (and all of New York City) at a public ceremony was silly. Peter should have more common sense than that. In addition, Eddie Brock's descent into madness should have been slower and more believable. In the end, there were too many characters and not enough time to delve deeply into all of the sub-plots, even with 2 and a half hours. This should have been split into two 2-hour movies.
  10. But Uncle Ben might have taken a dirt nap even if Peter had stopped the thug. The best MJ scene was her standing in the rain in the first one.
  11. They killed Spider-Man. The whole reason for Spider-man to exist is the guilt over not stopping the criminal who would go on to kill his uncle. Now every time Peter Parker stops a criminal, he is saving his uncle. By making the killer someone else, S-M 3 eliminates the motive for Parker to be Spider-Man. Even if he had been responsible, Uncle Ben still would have taken a dirt nap. It was dumb. Now, don't get me wrong, I liked the movie. As a huge Venom mark I was thrilled to see him in it. It was definitely the weakest of the three, though. I give it a B. For perspective, 1 gets a B+ and 2 gets an A
  12. Justice Society of America #4.
  13. Does anyone know where I can order specific issues of a current comic series? For example, I am collecting comic A and have issues 1-3 and 5 is coming out soon but I do not have 4. Is there somewhere I can order 4 online?

    Manhunt 2

I was disappointed by the first game, which was great on paper but lost a lot in the execution. If they've learned from the first one and cleaned the gameplay up, this could be a whole lot of fun. Make the fighting engine a lot more like The Warriors and a lot less like The Karate Kid and you've got a pretty cool game. http://ps2.ign.com/objects/883/883116.html http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/manhunt2/index.html
  15. The trailer has been removed, but if that's the case I disagree with the reinterpretation of the character. To me, the fact that MM killed his sister when he was a little kid is the biggest selling point on how evil he is. Tyler Mane is a great choice to play MM. The killer should be very large and intimidating.
  16. I think Punisher works best when fighting street level criminals or super-criminals who can be killed by "real world" weapons. Just my opinion, but if Punisher is going to be put into the super-hero universe, he should be a bad guy. The super heroes will try to take him down because he is killing people.
  17. My biggest problem with the costume is that it is far too much "fantasy" and not nearly realistic enough. The Punisher should not be carrying a gun that is bigger than he is. That's not the Punisher, that is Cable. The Punisher should carry a gun that exists in real life, like an M-16, AK-47, or a .357 Magnum.

    Windows Vista

Windows Live Mail is another option. I tried it, didn't like it, switched back to webmail.
  19. Doesn't bother me at all. I just like to mock the media for not doing their research.
  20. What is amusing is that the Captain America pictured in the MSNBC article is not the one who was shot in the storyline. That Captain America is from Marvel's Ultimate universes. That character is still alive.
  21. A remake? With all new actors? Trekkies are going to love that. They might as well publish some cartoons of the prophet Muhammed and invite some Islamic terrorists to "bring it on".
  22. I liked both movies. They just needed to spend a lot more money on that Nemesis suit, which looked like it was made by Mrs. Smith's 5th grade art class.

    Civil War *SPOILERS!*

Not that the argument was wrong, but that the way he was going about it was wrong. Looking back at one of the earlier issues, Cap asks a question regarding some of the things the Registration side has done: "Are you going to let them get away with that?" At that point, it seemed more like gang-bangers doing endless drive-by shootings retaliating against each other than a crusade for individual liberty. My interpretation was that he was conflicted the whole time and being attacked by average citizens was the breaking point.
  24. When he was talking about his 300-pound aunt falling down the stairs, I was laughing so hard I could not breathe. It was recently re-released on DVD. You can find it at Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target. I rented it from Netflix.
  25. I watched "Raw" back in the late 1980's, but never saw his first special. That changed this week. Who else has seen this?
