  1. I'm collecting One More Day, but will probably quit after that. I don't think Spider-Man will be any more exposed going to 3x a month, since he is already in three solo books a month. But I do think that comics publishers do fans a disservice to put characters in so many titles. Back in the day, only the really big franchises had more than one book dedicated to them: Batman, Superman and Spider-Man each had 2 books. When the X-Men caught fire in the 80's, Marvel went overboard and DC followed. Right now, there are four X-Men titles in the "main" universe, not counting spinoffs like X-Factor, Excalibur and Exiles.: Astonishing X-Men, New X-Men, Uncannt X-Men and X-Men. In the early 1990's there were four Superman titles and four Batman titles. I'm honestly not sure how many there are now. Spider-Man has gone haywire too. I think it serves the fans better to have hot franchises limited to one title. What that does is allows Marvel to push other characters into the spotlight instead of milking the ones already there, and provides more diversity for fans. Unless there's a specific storyline I want to follow, I don't read X-Men, Spider-Man, Superman or Batman. I will pick up different books for specific storylines and then drop them, but other than that the monthly series I am currently collecting are Justice League of America, Justice Society of America, and Thunderbolts.

    Fire Pro Wrestling

http://ps2.ign.com/objects/745/745588.html I watched a couple of the videos and was less than impressed with the graphics and animation. Does anyone have experience with this series? It looks like it could be fun, but I'm thinking "rent first".
  3. It looks like this one will at least be R-Rated.

    Randomness

    Yes, yes. Absolutely horrible.
  5. After I rented it, I was glad I did. Because a $6 rental is less wasted money than a $20 purchase.
  6. According to IGN, John Cena is rated as 97. I think that is the highest any pre-created Superstar has been rated. (My CAW's tend to be 99's, especially when I create myself.)
  7. Kristanna Loken is gone, replaced by someone I have not heard of. The first one was... well... let's just say it could have been better. I'm afraid to think of how bad this one is. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0896036/
  8. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/818/818914p1.html Some interesting choices for this year's roster: No JBL? I realize he's a commentator now, but he should be in as a Legend. No Hulk Hogan? No London & Kendrick? There is no reason to leave them out! No Cade & Murdock? Leaving them out was a bad choice as well. No Eddie Guerrero?
  9. Maybe in comparison to the Dolph Lundgren one Ha, owned. To say a mediocre movie "ruled" in comparison to the Lundgren movie is a classic jab. I didn't like "The Punisher". There are dozens of "revenge" movies out there, from Steven Segal's "Hard to Kill" (which basically has the exact same plot) to the Charles Bronson's classic "Death Wish" series. (The first was the best.) If you're going to make a superhero movie, the Punisher is not a good choice because there's no way to separate him from the crowd unless you pit him against a superhuman adversary. (Kevin Nash no-selling the knife doesn't count.)
  10. I've got this in my Netflix queue. I think I am going to move it to the top spot now.
  11. Sandman looked terrible the last two weeks, like he was sick or something. I can't help but wonder what kind of life the man's leading and I hope he can get some serious help if he needs it.

  13. But it was a crappy game with loads of potential. Metal Gear Solid with a horror theme. Improve the controls and the fighting engine and you have a classic. I still think it will be released after they tone it down.

  15. I loved the first attack. That fat guy really deserved it, and I thought it was fitting that he did not die, but will instead suffer horribly. Perfect writing. Is this a diss on Part 3? I plan on seeing 2 and 3 as well. Blah. I'm an idiot. I knew that. I must have been thinking of the Halloween remake after reading the other thread. Saw in IMDB they're bringing back several actors from the first movie for "Return". That's cool. Reminds me of how they got several of the actors from "The Warriors" to do voices for the video game 26 years later.
  16. I wasn't expecting much from this one, and it was actually better than I expected. Has anyone else seen this one? Apparently there will be a remake soon.

    Metal Gear Solid 2

If Otacon was in the Corinthian church in ancient times, the Apostle Paul would have written a letter commanding the church to "put away from among yourselves that wicked person." (See 1 Corinthians 5.)

    Final Crisis

Well, we've got at least one Hawkman fan on this board, ever since Identity Crisis...

    Metal Gear Solid 2

I picked this one up a month and a half ago and really enjoyed it. It has held up really well and in some ways is better than MGS3. I thought the reason for Otacon's father's death was a little... strange... and the storyline was too complicated. Raiden was kinds whiny. The game itself was a lot of fun, though.
  20. I picked up #110 and #115 today, but missed the four in between. It's cool so far. I also loved the final scene with Bullseye. That character is more evil than Mephisto.
  21. They will. It may take a few years to bring him back, but he'll be back.
  22. The art is horrible. I stopped reading New Avengers because of the art. Story is decent though. I like what they did with Ronin.
  23. Hopefully, the extra time to work on it will mean that any gameplay flaws remaining from the first one are removed.
