  1. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,397423,00.html It gets better. Arcades?
  2. IIRC, he does exist in the anti-matter universe, where Thomas Wayne becomes Owlman after his mom and younger brother Bruce are killed by a police officer.
  3. Show up to the interview in a suit and tie, even if you're applying for a retail job. Don't be discouraged - the job market is weak right now.
  4. The identities of the killer and the first victim have already been revealed. Ted Turner kills David Arquette for his part in bankrupting WCW. Arquette is found impaled with the WCW Championship belt - the belt he won eight years ago. Then Turner decides killing is fun...
  5. Fictional weapons are OK? Weapon: GL Power Ring. I imagine some kind of device that seeks out and vaporizes all zombies in 100-mile radius. Song: Doesn't matter. Fight's over in less than 10 seconds. Partner: Moqtada al Sadr. So I can feed him to the zombies before I vaporize them.
  6. Or, if the place you found it has a "lost & found", turn it in there.
  7. If you have Season 1 on DVD, play the "Matt Parkman the mind reader" game on Disc 5 and see if you can figure out how they did it. It's really cool once you get the answer.
  8. 5 was actually one of my favorites of the series. I thought it was better than the movies that followed with the exception of 10. True, the killer's motivation made zero sense (and he was on-screen for less than 5 minutes) but IMO that's the only really bad part of it. The killer should have been the guy who killed the fat kid. The biggest problem with 5 is it never happened - it's been completely ignored. Had it been the bridge to a "psycho Tommy" series it would be remembered much more fondly IMO. The cliffhanger ending was really cool.
  9. That was 5. I thought it was completely lame how they ignored the "Psycho Tommy" twist at the end of 5 when they made 6. It's like Superboy Prime punched reality or something.

    Batman R.I.P. - SPOILERS

Wouldn't that kill the Batman character? After all, he's not avenging his father's death any more. Bringing Jason Todd back? OK. I don't agree with it, but I don't hate it either: I can certainly see the potential for future stories and the way he came back does not negate his death. But Thomas Wayne? No way. Batman's parents need to stay dead.
  12. ..... ..... Lots more "Batman is homosexual" innuendo here and here and here and here and here and here and here and here.
  13. Well, there goers any sympathy for the victim. The new Jigsaw is probably a property-rights activist or something. Luba, your sign ordinance forbids banners affixed to the outside of a building, but does not apply if the banner is inside a large picture window. This negates the whole point of making the city more aesthetically pleasing. For lack of common sense, you will have to escape this deathtrap... I'll probably watch it, but I have already decided that I'm not even going to try to figure out how this fits in with the rest of the series. I'll just say to myself, "Superboy Prime punched reality" and move on. He's wearing Jigsaw's face? Rip off Texas Chainsaw Massacre much?
  14. Bad guy: "Not only are you doomed - but so us everyone else you have touched!" The Atom: "Jean Loring - I've signed her death warrant!" The Flash: "I gave Iris West - the kiss of death!" Green Lantern: "Carol Ferris - in deadly danger!" Batman: "Robin - what have I done to you?"
  15. I thought the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake (the first one, with Jessica Biel) was good. the second one, not so much.

    NERD WAR!

It's too bad that the AVGN had to beat us over the head with the "THIS IS SARCASM" line in his response to "Nostalgia Critic", because it really broke up the video's momentum and made it much less funny than it would have been otherwise. Offer a single disclaimer at the beginning, and be done with it. Unfortunately, some people are too dense to get even obvious sarcasm, so you have to beat them over the head with it.
  17. I've joked several times that if Charles Bronson was still alive, we would see the 87-year-old actor doing another "Death Wish" sequel, given all of the 1980's franchises that are back. I then joked that since he passed away a few years ago, we will probably see a remake instead. I was joking. Sylvester Stallone wasn't. He's remaking Death Wish.
  18. Off the top of my head, there was an in-continuity story in Superman/Batman (Batman/Superman? They just need to call it World's Finest!) where Batman killed the mugger before the mugger had a chance to kill the Waynes, and Batman never existed. Superman then recruited Bruce Wayne to take down Ra's Al Ghul and fix the timeline. But I have a question. If Batman prevented Joe Chill from killing the Waynes, then Batman would never have existed, so in the future there would be no Batman to go back in time, so history reverts to normal. Then Joe Chill kills the Waynes, prompting Bruce Wayne to become Batman and go back in time and prevent Joe Chill from killing the Waynes. But then Batman would never have existed, so in the future there would be no Batman to go back in time, so history reverts to normal. Then Joe Chill kills the Waynes, prompting Batman to go back in time and prevent Joe Chill from killing the Waynes. But then Batman would never have existed, so in the future there would be no Batman to go back in time, so history reverts to normal... My head hurts.
  19. Captain Planet inspired a generation of ELF terrorists. Just kidding. No one watched it. People watch cartoons to be entertained, not to hear a sermon.
  20. Robocop... come out to PLAY-EEEE!!!
  21. No, the character launched in 1940 was Alan Scott, who gained his powers from a mystical surce and has nothing to do with the green Lantern Corps. Hal Jordan appeared in 1959.
  22. "Night of the Living Dead 3-D" was absolutely horrible. A bunch of burned-out stoners get killed. Yee-haw. Now, had the burned-out stoners been ecoterrorists it would have been entertaining. "In today's news, an ELF cell was wiped out by zombies while planning to burn down some homes in a development near the lake. Toxiology reports showed high levels of marijuana in their blood, leading to speculation that the ecoterrorists could have escaped had they not been stoned out of their minds."
