WWE is right and the Nuggets are wrong. Nonetheless, WWE is overplaying their hand and run the risk of losing business in Denver in the future, especially if L.A. wins the series. I mean, having a Lakers/Nuggets tag match with the heels playing the Nuggets? Having John Cena at a Lakers game in a Lakers jersey? Dumb. I know you're ticked off, and the scheduling mess was very dishonorable, but there's no reason to honk off an entire city by taking sides in an NBA Playoffs series.

    DVD ripper software

I now have Adobe Premiere Elements, and I've ripped the DVD onto the hard drive. Here's my problem. I have 4 files, but I am only able to see about 5 minutes of each file. The meeting I am recording is over 90 minutes long. Obviously, there's video in there I cannot find. Does anyone know how to view specific chapters from a ripped DVD in Adobe Premiere Elements?
  3. I actually just got this one. After playing the SDvR series, one thing sticks out - no voice acting at all. Later games in the series have focused a lot on presentation, but the number of storylines to play, and the options within those storylines, has suffered, especially in 2006. To be fair, the exhibition mode was improved a lot in later games, and adding general manager mode was innovative. Anyway, to my main point, I would rather have no voices and lots of storylines than have everything done by voice acting and a limited number of storylines. There's only so many times you can sit through a five minute speech by someone before going bonkers. I'm not exaggerating. Yeah yeah, blah blah blah, you are the game-uh. Shut up now.
  4. Very bold words. Indeed. That's the best comparison I could think of to express how bad this is, and I've seen a lot of bad movies. Having Netflix allows me to gamble on questionable titles, that I would not spend $4 on at the video rental store. My monthly fee is the same, regardless. I've found some gems and some real stinkers. Count the latest "Street Fighter" movie in the latter category.
  5. This was an amazing movie. Absolutely amazing! I am sitting here typing in stunned amazement... at how truly horrible this "movie" really is. You see, this is not a "movie". It's a narrated comic book. To qualify as a "movie", there should be motion. You know, as in "motion picture." It is a collection of stills and people talking. Also, the voice acting was horrible. What were they thinking? If I were to grade this "movie", an F would be too kind. Can the score be so low that the "movie" gets a G? Or an H? On a scale of one to ten, this "movie" gets a minus five. This "movie" is worse than Bloodrayne. It is that bad.

Does anyone know where one can watch Monday Night Raw online, or of a service where one can purchase the program week-to-week? It doesn't seem to be on iTunes.

This is true. A few times a year, I have a dream about being about to fail a class I haven't attended all semester. I graduated from college 11 years ago. Ironically, I've had this dream several times over the last week.

IIRC, that is completely innocent in context. Funny, anyway.
  9. I'm not, because it negates the entire premise of the series. Freddy was an evil SOB when he was alive, and was killed by the town's parents in frustration when he escaped justice a technicality. If you leave his guilt ambiguous, then it's not Freddy any more. Freddy should not be a sympathetic character at all - not even a hint of sympathy. I don't like it artistically, but there's more to it than that. No pun intended, but the studio is playing with fire here. If Freddy comes off at all sympathetic, it could turn into a huge public relations disaster. It isn't as front and center in the news as it was in the 1980's, but the thought of a crazed lunatic kidnapping and killing children still scares the daylights out of people. The story of Adam Walsh still freaks people out. That's why we have Amber Alerts and Jessica's Law. This is a huge risk, especially in a harsh recession.

    DVD ripper software

I have wasted two consecutive evenings on this project and have failed both times. Epic fail. Before I delete my YouTube account in frustration, do you know where I can find this program? I searched on download.com and haven't found it. If this doesn't work, the world will be deprived of my brilliant commentary on the benefits of limited government. In video form, anyway.

Good. They never did solve the mystery of who the father of Stacy Kiebler's baby was. (WCW, 2000.) That should be done first.

    DVD ripper software

I'm looking for a (preferably free) program that will allow me to rip video from a DVD into a format that can be uploaded to YouTube, and also allows me to snip to a specific section of the video. (For example, 7:00 minutes to 9:45 minutes) No, I'm not planning to upload anything copyrighted. I spoke at a government meeting, and I have the meeting on DVD from the public access channel. If I can get this done, you'll be able to watch me tilt at windmills.
  15. "Pet ownership is an absolutely abysmal situation brought about by human manipulation." -- Ingrid Newkirk PETA believes pet ownership is the same as slavery. I'm sure my Beagle/Basset mix would be much better off had she been allowed to remain a stray, instead of picked up by animal control and adopted by me. Even though she was starving.
  16. And here's the thing. I own 2 very spoiled Beagle mixes. I have written my state representative and state senator in support of an animal-welfare law before the legislature right now. I was outraged by the Michael Vick dogfighting scandal. But I was killing virtual dogs 20 years ago in the Castlevania series, and today in Resident Evil 4. (just started playing through again today.) I know the difference between pixels on a TV screen and real life. PETA's idiotic letter is nothing more than an attention-grabbing LOOK AT ME moment that does absolutely nothing for animal "rights" or animal welfare. They distract from the real issues, and real animal cruelty, by whining about irrelevancies like a video game and promoting this circus-like atmosphere. This is why I say PETA is no different from the Westboro Baptist "Church" and that Ingrid Newkirk = Fred Phelps. The WBC pickets funerals because they're attention whores. PETA is exactly the same. PETA's espouses an extremist, radical ideology that I'm never going to agree with - especially as a cancer survivor who is alive today because of biomedical research. But in cases where they are reasonable - such as campaigns against dog fighting and inhumane conditions for breeding pets - they could garner some support even among those who disagree with them on the more extreme views the organization holds. But PETA doesn't give a **** about animal rights or animal welfare. It's all about getting as much attention as possible.
  17. By the way, if PETA is concerned about sensitivity, they might want to purge the depraved anti-Semites who now infest the organization's leadership. flippantly dismissing the Holocaust is not cool. http://www.nationalreview.com/smithw/smith200505060923.asp Does PETA have ANY credibility to whine and cry about killing a virtual guard dog in a video game? Does PETA have any credibility on sensitivity? Nope.
  18. Right on. It's a freaking video game. You're supposed to be People for the Ethical treatment of ANIMALS, not People for the Ethical Treatment of PIXELS. Get over it. PETA = Westboro Baptist Church (the wackos behind godhatesfags.com) Ingrid Newkirk = Fred Phelps. PETA stopped having anything to do with animal rights years ago. These days, PETA is all about drawing attention to itsELF. Just like Fred Phelps and the WBC Silly protests about killing virtual dogs and protesting in front of Kentucky Fried Chicken in bikinis won't distract from PETA's documented connections to ecoterrorists such as the Earth Liberation Front. (Hence the capitalization scheme in "drawing attention to itsELF" above.)
  19. In fairness, the first movie was very good. Had it ended after Part 1, it would be viewed as a classic in my always humble opinion.
