  1. Gotham Knights was designed to examine Batman's relationship with his family. There was also the short-lived Batman Chronicles. I will say that Dick Grayson: Team Leader is practically and usually a different character than Dick Grayson: Solo Act. The Nightwing of the New Teen Titans era wouldn't bat an eye at the things the Nightwing of Chuck Dixon's Nightwing run was having trouble with. I'd agree that connecting him with the larger DC Universe by way of the Titans or even the JLA probably is the best use for him, because he has so many ties to different characters and is one of DC's oldest icons. Implying that he's never been popular as a solo act...I can't agree that. It definitely shrinks his audience down to Dick Grayson die-hards, but the character has maintained a consistent interest with fans for decades. It's not like he's Hawkman or anything.
  2. Umm... Are you implying that he's not popular now, or ever? In any case, I'd be inclined to intensely disagree.
  3. http://www.comicscube.com/2010/05/clearing-up-misconception-about-frank.html Take that for what you will.
  4. "Will he save the galaxy...or DESTROY IT?" LOL
  5. It was indeed. The last page is basically "To be continued! In JSA, coming soon!!!!" I also give it props for saying, "Hey, remember when Dan Juergens killed all these guys in Zero Hour? That was bullshit, right?"
  6. One thing I know I'm not crazy about is having someone who's almost 30 playing Robin...again. I know the complaints against child endangerment and jokes about ephebophilia are knee-jerk when it comes to Batman and Robin, but seriously...and older Robin who's basically an adult always kills the enjoyment factor of the characters for me. It makes Robin lamer in some ways. Who exactly is a bigger fan of the Robin of Earth-2 over the classic teenage version?
  7. This season has been consistently entertaining. If I've not really enjoyed an episode, I still don't regret seeing it and was engaged the whole way through. I do feel that this is a season like the first one where the companion feels like she's the main character over the Doctor, but in this instance I'm rolling with it better.
  8. Jesse L. Martin's a HUGE draw for me, as he was possibly my favorite character from Law and Order. The script was pretty shaky, but he sold every line.
  9. Makoto Kusanagi is the one role that kept screaming at me the entire time I saw Rinko Kikuchi during Pacific Rim.
  10. Is that Bale? And I agree with Chris about the DKR legacy. I'm not crazy about Superman meeting MILLER Batman, ever 1986 Miller Batman as opposed to John Byrne Batman or Shelly Moldoff Batman or Kevin Conroy Batman, but I think having Carrie Kelly on the big screen's pretty tight.
  11. Loved the bit with Barry using his powers to "confess" to Iris without her actually hearing him. Am I the only one who got a huge Spider-Man 2 vibe from the episode? Problems with the powers, problems with the secret identity, everyone dumping on him. Not saying that's all solely exclusive to SM2, but it felt like Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns just got done re-watching that movie.
  12. I truly hope they don't to Barry Allen in the solo Flash film. It's different than when Superman Returns debuted while Smallville was going on. Those were two different versions of the character at different points in their lives. I'd much rather this Ezra fellow play Wally or Bart or someone else. Max Mercury, idk.
  13. Waiting for the One More Day retread then.
  14. I recently learned that All-Winners was a thing sometime last year. Always found that a peculiar name for a team.
  15. One thing I thought was really odd on the face of it was how Clara first appeared as though nothing had happened. After her stormy exit in the previous episode, I thought that was a strange transition, or lack there-of.
  16. ^Could be. I didn't know who Frank Skinner was, but I definitely thought I really enjoyed this. I've liked this the most since "Listen". It was really fun, engaging, and the character dynamics of the Doctor and the supporting cast complimented the mystery really well. If this isn't my favorite of the season so far, it's top 2.

For all you rap fans out there (?), MF DOOM and Bishop Nehru's highly anticipated collab album NehruvianDOOM is out today. Me likes it quite a lot.
  19. It's not nice to threaten suicide to your friend online at 1:00am in the morning, not respond to any follow-up questions after that, have that friend call the police and get back to you at 3:00am saying "Oh sorry, I was talking with some friends! Were you worried?". Be considerate.
  20. "I think so Brain, but wouldn't his movies be more suitable for children if he was named 'Jean Claude-Van-Darn'?" That one always stayed with me as a kid.
