Missy
Who are your favorite Marvel characters that weren't (co-)created by Stan Lee? He might be derived from Spider-Man, but, really, my favorite is Spider-Man 2099. Peter David did such a wonderful job taking a character that should have flopped and made him quite interesting. Dread
One of the obvious answers has to be Wolverine or Captain America. I've always thought Mac Hudson to be one of the most compelling and underused characters in the Marvel U. Brubaker has also made Bucky on of the most amazing characters in the MU. Dread
Forgot my favourite Marvel character of all-time: Grant Morrison's Marvel Boy!
Missy
Really? I have to reread that mini, because I don't recall too much about it.
Guest
Nightcrawler, Deadpool, Kitty Pryde, Luke Cage, Sentry, Ronin, Psylocke, Legion, Mr. Immortal, lots more. Hmm. Apparently, I mark a lot for members of the New Avengers. EDIT: Almost forgot about Madrox.

Totally agree, one of my favorite runs of all time. The fourth Green Goblin, Phil Urich, is another 90's character I'm a fan of.

Stavros
Ben Reilly. Although my favorite period of his was when he was actually meant to be the real Peter Parker, and therefore he was the one Stan Lee created. At the time. Missy
I'll echo the Punisher love. Ennis has reinvented that character.
Luke
I'm gonna plump for Deadpool too, as I really appreciated much of the character development he got during C&D. I really hope Way doesn't abandon all of that for the start of the future singles book.

Guest
Did Silver Surfer ever get some really good character defining stuff? He was always a weird one to me.
Dread
Did Silver Surfer ever get some really good character defining stuff? He was always a weird one to me. Lots. I love the Surfer. "Parable" by Stan Lee and Moebius is a great one but there are a few in that original FF run that are sparkly. Plus, his origin.
Missy
Silver Surfer Hang on. Kirby might have created Surfer without Lee's initial consent (as Surfer's Wiki page states), but Lee wrote his first appearance in Fantastic Four #48. So Stan did have a hand in the creation of the silvery one.
