Guest
On a happier note, ROH has been purchased by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, meaning, their financial troubles are over and they're going to have national broadcast television. They've said that even if you're in a market that doesn't get the show, it will be made available online. Could be the first step to ROH replacing TNA as the #2 company. Stavros
It was great, but the fact that my student film this year had a big bit about the over-use of Coldplay in montage sort of took me out of it.
SuaveStar
So, I'm watching the Macho Man DVD, and here are a few of my thoughts: Maria should not be anywhere near this, she is wooden as fuck, and generally, is just has no personality. This is the first time I've watched the Steamboat/Savage Mania 3 match, and I was really let down by it. It's probably got a lot to do with the fact that they show a match between the two from 1985 just before it, and it is basically the exact same match. With all the same high spots, just changing the ending sequence, and it was better the first time around. That double axe handle from the top rope to the floor just isn't getting the respect you'd expect it to. People take the move, and get back up about ten seconds later, something about being hit in the head, by someone's closed fists at that height to me, should be a bigger, more damaging move. It always looked great, but it just wasn't getting the respect it should have.
JackFetch
Vince McMahon wrote an article about Savage for the upcoming issue of Time Magazine. It comes out June 6th. “It’s important in sports and it’s important in entertainment to stand out. Randy knew that. Right away, he wanted to leave his mark, and to do that he was aware he had to make himself different from everyone else. One way he did this was concentrating on his outfits, those brightly colored costumes with foot-long fringe that became his trademark. He brought to wrestling a unique look and style. Guest
Tonight I watched a wrestler named Greg Iron for the first time ever. He's notable because he has a mild form of cerebral palsy, which makes his right arm nearly useless. He's actually a really decent worker in spite of this, and it's amazing that in a business with guys that are blind, deaf, and even missing a leg, that this still surprises me. S-T
I thought the way they handled Kharma leaving was well done - admitting she's on maternity leave. I loved how the crowd was cheering her. And for the love of all that is holy, never ever give the Bella twins a microphone ever again. My ears were bleeding after watching that clip. I would rather listen to Vickie Guerrero or Melina screech than listen to the Bella twins talk. Good grief that was horrible.

SuaveStar
Tommy Dreamer announced that he was finishing up with TNA this weekend at their Basebrawl events this weekend. On his Twitter, Dreamer, ever the company man, promoted the TNA event on his way out, writing, "If u need a reason 2 go 2 TNA shows on 6/10 Marion, Ill & 6/11 Memphis TN. They will b my last 2 apperances for TNA.Come say goodbye. Thnx" The word making the rounds is that the two sides could not come to terms on a new contract. Dreamer debuted for TNA in June 2010 and was tapped to book their ECW tribute event "Hardcore Justice." In recent months, he was hardly used in front of the camera but was working as a Producer for the company. He was suddenly turned heel for the first time in his career a few weeks back with no real reason, only to be dropped from TV in the midst of a feud with AJ Styles. JackFetch
Not surprising. He pretty much fucked himself with the Sin Cara thing. What Sin Cara thing is that?
Guest
They needed someone to make Sin Cara look good. Someone figured "Chavo's Mexican, surely he knows lucha". So when they asked him, of course Chavo said he could get a great performance out of him, hence why he suddenly showed back up on TV after being gone for months. Problem was, Chavo has spent a vast majority of his career in the US, and doesn't really know lucha, and the matches sucked. After that, he was expendable. They just hired Avero from AAA (Mistico's best opponent in Mexico), so they're determined to make this Sin Cara thing a success.
JackFetch
I figured they put Chavo against Sin Cara so he could teach him how to work American style.

Guest
You'd be surprised how little the language barrier matters in-ring. A lot of mannerisms and signals are pretty universal.
Professor
Listening to Right After Wrestling right now. Post RAW spoilers (since no one seems to know if this is standard after RAW happenings, or the start of the RAW taping for next week). Like I said, as I have heard on Right After Wrestling show. They are getting reports from I have no idea where, so gain of salt and whatnot. - Cole announced to the live crowd that CM Punk has been suspended indefinitely. - Next week: Mysterio vs. Del Rio vs. Truth for #1 contendership at the Money in the Bank PPV. - CM Punk possibly escorted out of the building. - CM Punk possibly in a meeting with Vince McMahon/Joe L/Other people he pissed off. So, that happened.
