Guest
The Monster has been sort of an unstoppable underdog this whole time, knocking out a lot of heavy favourites. His time is up though. Freddy's one of the very few guys that the Monster can't beat on iconic status or ability.
James D.
Freddy by a wide margin.
dc20willsave
Freddy, if for no other reason than he has some power over fire. The Monster is deathly afraid of fire. Freddy wins.
MaxPower
Freddy. I still say the Monster is just misunderstood. PS. I hope the next Freddy pic is of Groundskeeper Willie/Freddy.

Isn't Freddy deathly afraid of fire as well? Regardless, I'm voting for him here.
Dread
Voted Freddy, but I'm not sure if Monster needs to sleep. Had to fall back on the "not really a villain" thing with Monster to validate.

Stavros
Freddy appears to be some sort of serious horror icon to a degree I hadn't got before this, but I'm gonna have to Suave and Suave hard here. I don't get it. I've seen the supposed best films in the series and they were just fine. Nothing mind-blowing, fine. Freddy's pretty much just a specialist gimmick killer with his own series in my book, like death in Final Destination. There's too much fantasy for me to actually be scared of him, he's more just funny. The monster is a horror icon, I haven't always voted for him in this but I will here. Holacik
How did Frankenstein's monster get this far? Seeing as he is based on the most boring book of all time.
SuaveStar
Freddy scared the shit out of me as a kid and made me think "If I die in my dreams, do I die for real..." and the very image of a man being able to get you in your weakest place, is a scary thought. The Monster would only be able to get you when you are near by, you go to an airport and get on a plane and he's on the ground, you're fine. You do that with Freddy, and moments later you are in the mile high dead club.

Or one of the best sci fi novels ever written. Can't account for taste, I guess.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein may not be to everyone's taste, but shop around English Literature. There's a TON of books/novels that are more "boring" than Frankenstein (ie/ most everything from the 19th century).
Dread
Nor did you say you didn't like it. You said: How did Frankenstein's monster get this far? Seeing as he is based on the most boring book of all time. Which it most certainly is not. And I never said you don't have taste, just bad taste. That's all.
