Donomark
Peter was only in high school for the first 28 issues of ASM. Ditko was still on the book when he graduated. Just sayin'.
Davedevil
Some people would say that that's reason for the era not being explored enough.
KnightWing
I think a high school-age Peter makes sense in the context of the greater Marvel pantheon of heroes. If there are already so many adult heroes out there, making Spider-Man a kid seems like a good way to make him feel special and different. Donomark
I don't like the concept of Spider-Man as a "kid" character, because he's never been that. Not until Ultimate Spider-Man anyway. He's always been the young man in comparison to the others. I do get that having him in high school keeps the actor from aging too quickly. Koete
The Ditko high school issues are classics, but in terms of dynamics, I've always preferred college Peter hanging out with Gwen, Harry, Flash, and MJ.
KnightWing
I guess conversely, my favorite version of Spidey is the Ultimate comics/Spectacular TV version. I kinda like the idea of taking so many of the things that were done with Peter in the comics in his college years and aging them backward to high school. Maybe because a lot of Peter's growth works in the context of the kind of growing up that goes on in high school.
JackFetch
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been renewed, but the spinoff isn't going forward. Also Agent Carter has been renewed as someone said in another thread. Source
dc20willsave
Just as well with the spin-off. I feel like the main show finally found it's footing this season and part of that is the energy that Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood brought with them. JackFetch
One one had I'm glad they are going to make a black super hero with dignity. One the other hand, it kind of sounds like pandering.

Dread
There's a weird rights issue with Namor. They're still with Universal from an early 90s clearing house rights sale Marvel Comics made.
dc20willsave
And while Universal has been pretty helpful with the MCU so far, it's unlikely that Disney is going to develop Namor over a character they have lock, stock, and barrel. Dan
Wow. Marvel is really mad with Fox. Check out what they did with this T-shirt featuring the cover of Secret Wars #1.
Donomark
Not surprised. I mean they cancelled the Fantastic Four comic over this shit right?
Dan
Oh, I know, but it amazes me that they took a classic cover and airbrushed out 70% of the characters from it. Seems pointless when they could have just put together a new image or composited the characters from other sources just as easily.
dc20willsave
At this point, it's going to take Inhumans bombing completely at the Box Office for Marvel to even consider it if Fox were to even try to pull a Spider-Man for X-Men or FF. Delete
At this point, it's going to take Inhumans bombing completely at the Box Office for Marvel to even consider it if Fox were to even try to pull a Spider-Man for X-Men or FF. Fox has consistently made money with X-Men so Fox has no incentive of doing that the way Sony did with Spider-Man slowly dying the way it was. Fantastic Four on the other hand is a different story. I'd say it's closer to Spider-Man, but Sony at least had success with Spider-Man before it fell off a cliff.
Koete
I'm really hoping Fantastic Four makes a ton of money.
