They had that in the first Spider-man, both in the trailer and as the final image of the film.

A minor image is nothing like an actual title. Trust me, even in a basically American-sympathetic nation like the UK the title Captain America is a turn-off. If I mention to anyone that I read the comic they give me weird looks, way more than they would if I admit to reading Hulk or Batman.

The Spider-Man films especially got a pass on that because of all the post-9/11 pro-New York/USA support.

Over here, the name "Captain America" means very little. but overseas, yeah, it makes total sense to not use the word America.

Of course, that being said, I'd be totally cool with a Captain Britain movie over here, and I wouldn't want it named anything else.
