ShaunKL
I think Uncle Ben dies in the movie, that may or may not be his funeral.
prez
Psst... Uncle Ben dying isn't a spoiler. His death pretty much kicks off the entire Spider-Man mythos. Since that's Gwen, I'd imagine that's Capt. Stacy's funeral. That's another character who was pretty much created to die.
Missy
If you look behind Gwen, you can see a shoulder with a police path on it. That has to be her father's funeral.

Koete
I have no problem with the photo itself, it has me excited to see what Emma Stone will do with the role in fact. What I am apprehensive about is what the photo possibly represents. If this is a photo of Captain Stacy's funeral, and there is no definite confirmation of this, I think it is far too early in the film series for it to happen. Who's to say it isn't Captain Stacey at Uncle Ben's funeral. I mean, they could put in that he was friends with Ben, and have him show up to pay his respects* *I've never read a Spider-Man comic with the Stacy's, so what I'm saying will probably just be movie additions. Koete
That would be an addition, but yes, that's another explanation. Like I said, it's all speculation at this point.
Venneh
This is the rest of the shots that are available. Flash is in one of them, and in the same one he's in, I'm pretty sure her dad is as well.

But why would it be too early? Captain Stacy was a character that was always meant to die, so I could see them pushing that into movie no. 1. Koete
Captain Stacy was a father figure for Peter. His detective skills also had Peter wondering if he had uncovered his Spider-Man identity. Peter was indirectly responsible for his death. When he died, Peter and Gwen were deep in their relationship and Peter was sure she was the one. That's too much to develop in one film for it all to have meaning. KnightWing
Considering they're in high school, I doubt we're gonna cram an engagement into this movie. Consider the story altered. Pray they don't alter it any further.
Koete
They were never engaged.
KnightWing
Oh yeah. I'm getting my universes confused. Either way, they're not gonna go through all that stuff in one movie. Heck, even two movies would be pushing it. I say kill off the Captain in this one, and if not this one then the next.
Koete
I don't expect them to recreate the comics panel for panel. I just want the characters and their relationships to be given time to develop.
KnightWing
Well, if they're not doing the same storyline, it might still work. It's not like they can't still give the Captain's death meaning; they just might do it differently.
Molly
I just don't want them to kill Dennis fucking Leary.

I agree with Suave by the way, I think it's uncle Ben's funeral with Cpt. Stacy behind Gwen.
JackFetch
I've changed my mind on Andrew Garfield. He was a comic fan growing up and actually knows the character. As long as they keep his crazy werewolf hair under control, he'll be fine.
prez
No joke on the hair, right? He looks like me on a bad month in junior high.
