I used to hate GT, but now I appreciate that they were trying to go in a different direction. Dragonball was a parody of Kung fu movies, Z was a action adventure and GT tried to be a space opera. But then again I am talking about seeing the original Japanese version and not the dubbed ones. Ugh! could they make the voices of Pan and Gillu more anoying?

One person recommended X-men Origins: wolverine to me. It was the same person who loved "Revenge of the Fallen."

Favorite- Treasure Island not only because of Tim Curry but because of the songs. You can bet that on September 19th I will be singing all the songs from that movie. Best- Christmas Carol, the movie that was fated to fail but demonstrated that Kevin Clash was able to take the mantle laid by Henson.

I was passing by a local dollar store today and saw that their dvd rack had Prometheus on the cover. I wondered if that movie could ever appear in the tiradesverse.

I really enjoyed it. I kinda liked how the forced romantic interest was a comic relief. I was against the idea of Angelina Jolie playing the titular character but was impressed with her performance (and also learned that she was the one paying for the movie). I also like the actor who played King Stefan.

I used to be a DBZ fan but Dragonball Evolution ruined my fandom. However the thing that revived my fandom was Dragonball z Abridged.

I had to pay $100 for a new charger to my laptop. I was considering buying a new old one for a few dollars more.

The attempted rape scene always disturbed me. I did not know it was Matheson until following along. I wish Matheson could have shown a different way that aggressive Kirk was dangerous.

The news announced that the moon is the closest to earth in its periodic orbit. I guess even God is excited about the release.

In the "Books without pictures" thread I may sound like I hate everything by Margaret Atwood, but I there were parts in "Year of the Flood" that I actually found enjoyable. I could not help but think she was being satirical with things like "painball" and "secretburger".

I have only heard people talk down on the John Carter books. People like Michael D.C. Drout always seemed to make it out to be just fan service for 14 year old boys. While I will not argue that "A Princess of Mars" is anything highbrow and might be what Margaret Atwood had in mind when she tries to separate her Speculative Fiction from Science Fiction. Bearing that in mind, I am finding the read to be fun. I am enjoying the description of not only the Tharks but the animals like Woola and the boar creatures. I remember Dan mentioned how Lucas lifted the coliseum scene in "Attack of the Clones" but I am seeing connections with other stories like golden age Superman.

Wasn't Godzilla vs. Biollante the movie where one of the characters made a reference to Batman?

I am glad that you guys said that the show was decent. I remember hearing my sister tell me that a Godzilla show was being made and I groaned. I gave it a chance since I was told that Godzilla was an ally and ended up enjoying it. I thought Jeff Kline did a good job making a crappy movie into a decent show. While I am on the subject I think any episode of the Jeff Kline "Men in Black" cartoon was better than Men in black 3.

I like the South Park reference. Can't wait to hear what everyone has to say about the John Carter movie.

You guys mentioned that in the movie commercial airlines are still working even though zilla was on the loose. Well since there were so many voice actors from the Simpsons that they were using logic from the show.

@ Kscriv I think Vic Mignogna might be my favorite Captain Kirk, but that may change when we go through the original series.
