  1. You are Superman - 75% - You are mild-mannered, good, strong and you love to help others.
  2. Even in the cartoons, Peter was always the star, despite the attempts to make it Slimer
  3. Damn Kellen, that was a RANT!! A+ Brilliant show - well, it focused upon Ghostbusters, 'nuff said!
  4. I love the way that Yoda didn't know the "critically acclaimed" artists behind Halo. Not a knock at your knowledge Mike, but just because of the way the news is reported. I have to read promotional material for every single that rolls into the radio station and you get used to hearing a lot of promotional rubbish dressing up something that can either be mediocre or crap. Good review for Runaways, but it doesn't sound like anything I'd ever read I hope you're talking about the US remake of The Ring because the Japanese ones scare me silly. Then again, I am a bit of a coward when it comes to horror films. Good stuff Kellen. I've just come home from university so I too am about to suffer from the problems of recording somewhere that isn't a radio studio! Good show, guys. Expect something in your inbox from me RE: Ghostbusters, as it's one of my favourite films ever.
  5. I have read it, it's just been the end of term this last week and I had 3 essays to do in 4 days, on top of oWa stuff and other suchlike excuses. Now that I've seen the film and re-read your article, I find myself agreeing with a lot of what you said and will probably reference it, alongside Yoda's review, when it falls to me to turn in my next segment. Appreciated the background on Moore as well; although I knew he was unhappy with the idea of the project, I never had a real sense of why.
  6. Very nice varied show. Some thoughts: - Loved the wrestling story! - Good review of V for Vendetta. Challenges me to come up with a specific angle for my segment in a few weeks! - DW: Great segment. Seriously good to see someone with a huge knowledge of his favourite genre show it off. Possibly a bit long, but you have a clear structure so it isn't a problem. Will be PM-ing you something when I've posted this. Nice theme music too. - The music. It hurt the show in my eyes. I don't mind it being used to break up segments (although you've proven that you can move from segment to segment easily in the past, so I do wonder why it was put in) but it didn't seem to fit, especially with the Batman Beyond music you use for the into and outro of the show. Just curious as to why it was used, really.
  7. It was the Halle Berry jab, wasn't it? That said, I was more pleased with the Guy Fawkes information - I really don't know how we celebrate a foiled terrorist attack with the same enthusiasm as you guys do with Independence Day. Especially with the whole burning in effigy business. Anyways, thanks for the kind words guys. Good quickie show, looking forward to next week's episode a lot.
  8. Hayes really doesn't come out of this with any credibility. Great shame as I thought Chef was a great character, if not exactly a pivotal one. You really have to wonder about Scientology after Tom Cruise gets the episode pulled from the UK and Hayes opts out of a show he's been a part of for 9 years just because it turns its biting satire towards something he believes in. Just seems very sinister.
  9. I agree with the forum thread that posts, and I quote: "STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP!"
  10. Enjoyable episode on all accounts, and nice to make my spoken debut! Kellen: My accent is indeed distracting. Then again, yours is distracting to me, and I lived in Canada for 6 months! D.W.: I guarantee you're going to read Skelley promos differently from now on! Much like I am for Dario... Jenny: I'm unlikely to do a specific segment for Stephen Dorff. Sorry, but he was in Alone in the Dark as directed by James's favourite director... Definitely one of the best installments of the E-2 show's history thus far.
  11. Batman Begins getting a sequel isn't news. Superman Returns is, especially as it hasn't been released and done business yet. It could bomb - probably won't commercially, but it still could.
  12. Heh "See No Evil......Starring Kane" Damn strange thing to see. Doubt I'd watch it, tho'
  13. I watched Blade recently so I could do something along those lines.
  14. Tara Strong fairly easily, although I always enjoyed Cree Summer's Elmyra
  15. Live action: Western: My Darling Clementine Comedy: Ghostbusters Drama: Amadeus Horror: Freddy v Jason Action: Batman Begins Family: Hook Musical: The Blues Brothers Sci-Fi/Fantasy: Dark City Animated: Action: Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker (UK got the uncut version) Family: Robin Hood Musical: South Park: BL&U
  16. All I know is that I need to get back into Teen Titans, and quickly. I saw something like 5 episodes, fell in love with the theme music and then got shipped off to university. Good job to everyone, particularly Jackson's mini-segment, which was interesting to hear from this side of the pond.
  17. I think there's a lot to thank James for here: 1) Sitting through a Uwe Boll film and not leaving. I think I'd have to be paid to sit through such dross. 2) Telling the entire story so that we don't have to watch it. 3) The plot holes and idiocy of the film being torn apart by Angry James :urock: Good stuff James - the Disney jab got me wondering if there's still links to some of your older Oratory stuff because the column on meaningless sequels is right up there with the Captain Planet article. I'm almost tempted to do one of these for Batman & Robin!
  18. Good job as ever, guys. Enjoyed the movie reviews a lot - shame about Red Eye being disappointing but I'm glad that Equillibrium is getting love. I don't honestly think I've ever seen Christian Bale give a bad performance. I also keep linking this place to my brother in the vain hope that he'd actually listen to one of these because I seriously think he'd love James's contribution, such is his love of anime. Don't know whether he goes for non-action based anime, although he did DL a show featuring a guy starting college and inheriting some kind of female robot. So it's possible - I'll certainly recommend it to him on the basis of the review.
  19. Then why release it straight to DVD? That makes no sense to me.
  20. Ehh, I think you're being hard on yourself, Cash. Unless you have impeccably high production standards - I know I don't! Good to hear something - a quickie is better than nothing . One thing, though. Normally when I click the direct link in your signature on the Oratory, it goes straight into Media Player and plays there. This time, it opens up in a new window and plays from there. Did I do something at my end unknowingly, or has the connection changed?
  21. Ladies and Gentlemen, Dr Frasier Crane. I'll go to see X3, no doubt, but you've really got to wonder whether Ratner's up to the job, given the amount of characters he's adding to an already expansive cast. As much as I hated Berry's extensive gripes about screentime, she isn't far wrong about how much time each character was getting.
  22. Trust me, if I had a say and it wasn't decided upon by random draw, the five would have been: Batman: The Animated Series GI Joe Muppet Babies Thundercats Transformers That said, my vote would easily be Underdog... but I don't vote in these.
  23. Another good show - it's obvious just how comfortable you guys are in the role now. I did figure that I'd have very little to get out of the show, given that I hadn't come across any of the topics, but you really sold 'Invincible' to me as a comic worth picking up and the Dawn of the Dead review came across well, even if you seemed a tad inhibited out of not wanting to spoil anything. Should have some emails about cartoons for you at some point this week - I could even possibly record something at my radio station to send to you, but I think it saves in .wav format rather than MP3. Looking forward to it though; I used to be a cartoon junkie! As a suggestion for the poll, it's been top 5 a lot recently. I just wonder how much difference a bottom 5 poll would make in terms of feedback/participation. Oh, and sorry for the ribs at productivity! Being honest, I haven't put out nearly as many music columns at the Oratory as I'd have liked to due to real life essays and then roleplaying over there as well. Still, looking forward to this article about comic stores you eluded (sp?) to.
