Been a good day. Kellen gets a job, Jets make the playoffs. Now just need to worry about waking up for an 8:30 training class after having regularily slept until 12PM most of the last 3 months. Goodie.

For those of you people that have been here since the start or known me since the pre E-2 days on the Oratory, this will get some posts in the Feeling old thread. My girlfriend and I got engaged over the weekend! The proposal was a piece of epicness.Jen & I had met at Ai-Kon Winterfest in 2013 and first got got to really know each other at the the Greg Ayres rave at Ai-Kon proper that year. Over the years by our staffing and Animezing Podcast and whatnot we've both become pretty good friends with Greg, so what I was able to do was have him bring us on stage to dance at the rave with him at Anime Detour in the Twin Cities this past Saturday. After about an hour he played the closest thing we have to our song (Pretty Rave Girl) then kills the music, takes the mic and clues the crowd in that somthing is happening. In front of about 400 people I get down on a knee and propose. She said yes, the crowd popped like crazy and everyone was happy. I am hoping to have photos or video of it soon once the con itself gets all its stuff in order. Now to figure out where, when and how we will have our wedding, where in North America we want to live and figuring out immigration. Ah who cares this is awesome!

Couldn't be happier. I by and large hate how WWE have been using his appearances, but when he's there he can be the best thing on the show.

True but at the time of that recording I'd never seen a Rainmaker match in my life. Thankfully Wrestle Kingdom 9 and NJPW on AXS have fixed that.

Well everything is in there but Shotgun was a recap episode and Superstars was straight PPV hype. Also a bit lengthy to write EVERYTHING out for an episode like this.

He was great, better than most celebs because he's a big fan of the product and is aware of his surroundings. He was clearly having the time of his life.

Because 2 years ago I said damnit I'd do it, now I have.

I've been spending my free time doing the same thing, the one thing I realize rewatching Season 4 for the first time right after the first 3 is how comparatively bad it is (still good TV overall, just not even close to the original run).

Yep, kinda sucks.

Welp, I got let go from my job this past Friday. Looking at the good news as best I can, I should be able to apply for EI this time (which hopefully will cover the needs), I have free time to spend time with the girlfriend in Grand Forks, and with the weird pay structure at the old job I still have paychecks coming in from them until the start of February, that said my last period of unemployment lasted 8 months and I am just a little bit scared of how things will turn out.

First time ever seeing Nakamura and I'm hooked, that match with Kota Ibushi was nuts.

Actually his History of Power Rangers stuff is the only thing I still actually make a point to watch from that place. Haven't checked much else out from it in years. Beyond that it was just Doug Walker who played out Nostalgia Critic to a natural end point....only to trot it back out when he realized his new ambitious project was a flop. That said when the book is finally written on that place I'd like to read it.

I'll be missing Chicago this year. Going to have to reassign some of my vacations around this year (Anime Detour in Twin Cities in March, might be in Detroit for US Thanksgiving).

To that point, remembering watching the World Jr. Hockey Championship and looking up to the players involved, some of these guys are now 10 years younger than I am.

So, that ending, wasn't expecting it to actually happen, but God damn they went for it. Good work.

I've been looking at History of WWE, but I'd consider any taping report that old to be at least a little sketchy and I take that stuff with a grain of salt.
