You Know Who Posted February 24, 2023 Report Share Posted February 24, 2023 Love them both and am not even bothered by the Ewoks or the multiple endings (at least on the most recent viewings) but Return of the King. That said, there are two cut-related caveats: 1) A lot of the Lucas-mandated changes on the version of Jedi bieng streamed do hurt it to varying degrees. 2) I’ve only ever seen the barebones cut of Return of the King. I’m fine with the length of the theatrical cuts of the films, but I feel like the extended editions’ length would start to test my patience. Plus, the second half a lot duller and less tight than the first half, perhaps because of the some of the behind-the-scenes drama).
