KnightWing
The aspect of Spidey in Civil War that everyone seems to forget is that he was the "viewpoint" character, and he switched sides once he realized Tony was in the wrong. That's the real impact he had on the story, not the unmasking. If anything, the unmasking only affected Peter's solo storyline afterward (and then only briefly). dc20willsave
Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) are writing the screenplay together for Captain Marvel. No word on director though the rumor has popped up that Marvel is going after Michelle MacLaren after she left Wonder Woman yesterday. Donomark
Interesting considering that Nicole Perlman's script for Guardians got a total page 1 rewrite after Gunn said he didn't like it.

I think the fact that the unmasking was such an iconic event most fans assume it will be in the movie.
KnightWing
True. Which really bothers me, honestly, because it wasn't at all a good story development. It was a shock value moment that was undone almost immediately afterward.
Professor
But for Spider-Man to be the 'viewpoint' character, he kinda had to unmask. Because if he switches sides, Tony-to-Cap or Cap-to-Tony, he would unmask at some point. Not going to re-write this What If? style, but I don't know who they could have unmasked besides Spider-Man than would have mattered. KnightWing
If you're looking at it purely in-universe, then okay, but it was still too big a thing to be wasted the way it was. Of course, if One More Day had actually been a good story, then maybe it would have been fine.
JackFetch
Marvel teaming with John Ridley for mysterious superhero project Let the speculation begin: EW has learned that Oscar-winning writer-producer John Ridley (12 Years a Slave) is teaming up with Marvel to develop a mysterious new TV series. We hear the deal involves reinventing an existing Marvel superhero character or property for ABC—but all sides are staying quiet on exactly which title Ridley is adapting. This comes on the heels of EW breaking the news that Marvel and ABC are also developing a spinoff series to The Avengers tie-in Agents of SHIELD. Ridley is an executive producer of ABC’s acclaimed midseason drama American Crime, which we hear is looking good for a second season renewal. Coming off winning best adapted screenplay for 12 Years a Slave, Ridley is also a writer/producer on the 2016 big-screen update of Ben Hur. Marvel’s aggressive expansion into television now includes four current series (ABC’s SHIELD, Agent Carter—which is on the bubble for a pickup—and Netflix’s Daredevil), plus several confirmed upcoming titles (Netflix’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, followed by the Netflix character mash-up The Defenders). Neither Marvel nor ABC would comment on the Ridley project. Molly
Ridley is actually a huge geek, so I'm pretty excited. I'm feeling Punisher, maybe Blade, here.
Dread
If it's Punisher and it's not Netflix, then I don't know why they'd even bother. A cinematic universe where Daredevil is more risqué than Punisher is ridiculous.
dc20willsave
Misty Knight and Colleen Wing. Since they're using The Defenders name for the Netflix team-up, I believe that means that Heroes for Hire is vacant. Either that or Millie the Model. I would watch the hell out of a Millie the Model series.
Molly
It could still be Netflix. It says for ABC, Daredevil was an ABC studios joint.
JasonC
If Misty Knight and Colleen Wing don't show up in Power Man or Iron Fist there will be trouble.

Dan
Grain of salt time: Marvel is working with John Ridley (American Crime) on a new MCU series for ABC, and the current word has that it could be a Kamala Khan limited series to air during a winter break in the Mockingbird/Hunter series. Research material?
dc20willsave
I would watch the hell out of a Kazar and Shana the She-Devil movie. Oh, and I guess Spider-man can show up in them.
JackFetch
There are all kinds of rumors raging about the wall crawler, including that Feige and his producing accomplice Amy Pascal are planning an arc that will tell the Spidey story over three to four movies, each covering a year of high school for Peter Parker, who’ll already have been bitten by the radioactive spider so we don’t have to see that all over again. The tone they are searching for in the coming of age tale is John Hughes humor and emotion, plus all the superhero stuff. Source
KnightWing
That sounds great. I wonder if they'll have Gwen already be dead so as to avoid confusion or repetitiveness. They could basically do a Hulk/Incredible Hulk move, where they pick up after the events of the last movie even if the last movie isn't canon anymore.
