Nicolette Opal
I love this sentence: A pantless infant of the male sex, with a taut mud-gray little belly, jerkily stepped down from a doorstep and waddled off, bowlegged, trying to carry three oranges at once, but continuously dropping the variable third, until he fell himself, and then a girl of twelve or so, with a string of heavy beads around her dusky neck and wearing a skirt as long as that of a Gypsy, promptly took away the whole lot with her more nimble and more numerous hands. Stavros
And now I am ashamed to say how many hours in a day I spend in front of a screen. Damn, now I'm going to have to force myself to read more to feel less guilty. Nice find Nicolette, I'm reading Brave New World for my course right now. Amazing how relevent conincedences occur. I'm pretty much completely with Huxley on this. Society's downfall begins when we are too apathetic to care.
Nicolette Opal
I think I just used up all the free printing that is (or at least, all that should be) allowed to me for the semester.
Missy
Allow me to guess the number: - Knowing the section you are going to use is about 25 pages long... - Knowing you had to print one for every student, plus one for the teacher... - And guessing there are 11 other students in the class, so 12 copies... You printed between 275 and 300 pages, or 325 if you printed one for yourself.
Kscriv
So I'm watching Golden Girls right now (home sick btw) and who shows up but a young Mario Lopez...just feel weird seeing him younger than AC Slater.

Stavros
What's even sadder is that they were both right. Doing my course on the media and news media in particular has really ramped up my mistrust of anything and everything I'm told. I'm basically down to trusting people I like, and that's a bad road because its subjective, its basically agreeing with people who don't challenge my world view. The last week or so back in school has contributed massively to my disillusionment with the world at large. So much so that I've grown my goatee back as a rudimentary first line of defence against the world.
Doug
The Great Midwestern Trivia Contest has taught me that the essence of Nelson Mandela is cookies. Lets all start a massive group AIM chat. If anybody wants todo this, IM me at Doug7172. Too bad you're offline. I had the sudden realization that my need for food out weighed my desire to be on AIM. But to be fair, I stayed on for about 20 or so minutes after I made this post.

Nicolette Opal
Well, it's not really a chat room, it's AIM. Let's not kid ourselves. This is not 1997.

Or we could whip something up on meebo. Its an online chat service that doesn't require registration. We could possibly chat at http://www.meebo.com/room/E2chat/
