Nicolette Opal
Today is looking up. Lots of goodies in the submissions inboxes. Yay. I like not immediately rejecting things.
SuaveStar
Alright, two more down, the only problem is, they don't feel like I've done them properly, it was two articles I am just not very happy at all, and I don't know how to fix. So damn. Now that that is done, I really can't add anything to the articles, so now, it's time to either get back to work on my diary for the project, or transcribe the final interview that I need to type up. I've stopped for the night. Right now, I have all 8 articles passed the first draft stages, 5 of them have been finalised and made up in publisher as the final product, and one has a first draft in publisher, so I can say I've done work, and two have still got to be formatted to look like magazine/newspaper articles. Tomorrow I'm going to finish up my diary and start to work on my final article second drafts, and make up the pages and work on the radio section of my show. SuaveStar
I just did an 8 page 5,000 word diary which went over 26 weeks of my project. It is nearly 1AM and I've been at this on and off since 10. Think it's time I stop for the night.
Stavros
Doing well man, nose to the grindstone. My GPA has dropped to 69.59. Its statistically meaningless since grades beyond pass and fail don't matter until next wear, but I really want the overall first. Gonna have to ace some exams. dc20willsave
My least favorite part of the writing process is rewriting, especially when I have people screaming about the NFL draft downstairs. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. On the bright side, I think this is turning out alright. Yeah! J-Rock is actually helping my writing! Molly
My least favorite part of the writing process is rewriting, especially when I have people screaming about the NFL draft downstairs. Change that to down the hall, and I'm right with you. Just finished my rewrite of my cop-drama and I think it's better. Fuck if I know. Molly
PrestonNelson275 (9:02:27 PM): And it's a lot less... TV happy here. ladyvenn (9:02:42 PM): Nothing wrong with the occasional happy ending. ladyvenn (9:03:10 PM): But I do like this ending a bit more. PrestonNelson275 (9:03:13 PM): The other play will have a happy ending. ladyvenn (9:03:24 PM): Happy ending for who? PrestonNelson275 (9:03:33 PM): Ash and Riley. PrestonNelson275 (9:03:35 PM): And Mia. PrestonNelson275 (9:03:42 PM): Which are the three characters. ladyvenn (9:03:43 PM): I'll be interested to see it. PrestonNelson275 (9:03:47 PM): And they will all be happy. PrestonNelson275 (9:03:55 PM): If I can do happy, without cheesy. PrestonNelson275 (9:04:02 PM): I'm afraid that I'm a Joss Whedon. PrestonNelson275 (9:04:19 PM): I have to kill everyone, because I have no clue how to write happy.
Dread
I go a little further. I make everyone miserable while trying not to kill them, ensuring a lasting misery.
Venneh
9:03:49 PM Preston: I have to kill everyone, because I have no clue how to write happy. 9:04:13 PM Hannah: Happy ending: All three commit suicide. The end! xD 9:04:21 PM Hannah: You write happy just fine. 9:04:58 PM Preston: When? 9:05:07 PM Preston: I've finished three plays. 9:05:12 PM Preston: Four. 9:05:15 PM Hannah: The beginning of the Ash/Riley/Mia thing. 9:05:18 PM Preston: 1.) Seth is alone. 9:05:24 PM Hannah: The zombie thing could be comsidered happy in its own way. 9:05:30 PM Preston: 2.) Oberon and Scott get eaten by Cthulhu. 9:05:44 PM Hannah: 2. That's a happy ending according to the Cthulhu mythos. 9:05:47 PM Preston: 3.) Nick Faust gets dragged to hell. 9:05:58 PM Preston: 4.) Charlie hates his brother and wants to die. 9:06:01 PM Hannah: Oh, you finished the Faust thing? 9:06:13 PM Hannah: 4. Redeption hinted with Mia. 9:06:15 PM Preston: Lucy and I wrote it for 24 hour theatre. 9:06:19 PM Hannah: And the cycle of violence was broken. 9:06:23 PM Preston: I was Mephistophles. 9:06:34 PM Hannah: Was this the same one where you were Edward Cullen? 9:06:49 PM Preston: Same night, different play. 9:06:58 PM Hannah: That's still pretty scarring. xD 9:07:54 PM Preston: I was Batman, too. 9:08:01 PM Hannah: That's destiny. 9:08:03 PM Hannah: That's different. 9:09:52 PM Preston: I was Oberon, Batman, Edward Cullen, The Girlfriend/Dog Whisperer (in a sketch Lu wrote), and Mephistopheles. 9:10:18 PM Hannah: And now I'm picturing Cesar Milan as someone's girlfriend. 9:10:23 PM Hannah: And that's kinda fucking frightening. 9:10:34 PM Preston: No, he was helping a guy train his girlfriend. 9:10:41 PM Hannah: xD 9:10:45 PM Hannah: That's horrible. 9:10:47 PM Hannah: I love it. Doug
I just read through the Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 thread. Wow. Mike, I mean it when I say this. You are my hero.

Koete
The "TNR'D" box under the permabanning avatar was a nice touch.
Molly
Frankly, the only thing that could have made that better would have been if Mike ended his post with some Pulp Fiction: "And you will know my name is the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon thee!" Commence execution.
dc20willsave
If he hadn't been such a dick in that last post, he might have gotten a "Banned" t-shirt out of it. Oh my god, we need a "TNR'ED" t-shirt now! I hate endings. I have a long distance to send my characters and I have nothing to have them speak about so they just go in silence until they end back at her place where they fall asleep. Debating what to do to make it less boring.

Molly
As would I. But, in a crowing achievement as a playwright, I just managed to weave together M.C. Escher and the Princess Bride. Fuck, I love this script.
dc20willsave
Solved my problem. Instead of her throwing up on the guy at the gas station, it happens at her front door instead. Everything works out if you put some effort into it.

SuaveStar
Another thing down, and I was going to make a publisher file of another article, then the fucker kept turning the text blue on me. So I may come back to it later. Right now, I have to do the following: Go to my friends blind mile event and get an audio interview with her and some photos with her. Put together radio show, and script.
dc20willsave
We need a "random writing frustrations" thread. I would frequent it. True but what forum to put it in. Should it be under one of the categories in the Writers' Corner or maybe under Shameless Self-Promotion? Then there's just putting it in the Randomness forum. Lots of trouble, lots of trouble indeed. On the bright side, got my story patched.
