TNA Wrestling star Jeff Hardy pleaded guilty to three different felony charges on Thursday in a Moore County, North Carolina courtroom.

Hardy pleaded guilty to two counts of "intent to distribute a controlled substance" and one count of "conspiracy to traffic in a compound containing opium."

Hardy was sentenced to serve ten days in jail, as well as pay a $100,000 fine. Additionally, Hardy was sentenced to 30 months probation and will serve increased jail time if he violates the terms of his probation.

They delayed this hearing for over a year to give him a TEN DAY sentence?

I'm honestly glad he got any sort of prison sentence, rather than just a massive fine alone. Anyway:

"Assistant District Attorney Warren McSweeney said the raid came after employees at a Fayetteville FedEx distribution center called police about a suspicious package. The package was addressed to Hardy from a fan in Florida. It contained a Maxwell House coffee can filled with 262 prescription hydrocodone pain killers.

Police resealed the package and had the pills delivered to Hardy at his home. When he accepted the package, Moore County sheriff's deputies raided the house and found other drugs, as well.

Hardy's lawyer, James Van Camp of Pinehurst, said Hardy got involved with the pills to cope with the pain and damage to his body that he endured as a professional wrestler.

Until recently, Hardy was the top star of Impact Wrestling, formerly Total Nonstop Action wrestling.

Hardy remains on the company's roster, and Van Camp asked Superior Court Judge Joseph Turner to allow his client to travel outside of North Carolina and the country to continue his work.

Turner granted the request."

Can someone rationally (i.e., scientifically) explain how Jeff Hardy is still alive? Frankly, his brother isn't exactly a shining example of intelligent life-conducting, either.

Jake Roberts and Scott Hall are still walking around. Wrestlers either die young or live forever.

On the episode of Impact Wrestling that will air on 9/29, it has been announced that it will be the end for Hulk Hogan with TNA. Just recently, it was also announced that Hogan and Eric Bischoff's contracts with TNA are expiring in October.

This news certainly effects the planned match that TNA had been building to for months of having Sting vs Hogan at Bound For Glory. The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Hogan's physical ability has been very questionable for a while after his last set of back surgeries. They are reporting that Hogan has said he "absolutely can't take any falls."
