Molly
I like Chris Yost, I like him alot, but Geoff Johns is ten times the writer he is.
Koete
I like Ivan Reis, I like him a lot, but Clayton Crain is ten times the artist he is.

SuaveStar
Anyone else read the adventure comics preview? It looks pretty.
Koete
It did look pretty nice, but I'm waiting for the eventual collection of the Legion of Super-Heroes back-up stories.
SuaveStar
Speaking of back up, it is weird how those storys are going to have their own collection. That will take a while to come out won't it. Oh and my DCBS order came today, the black ring looks ok, and wedensday comics looks nice. Koete
Mark Texeira's gonna be at Baltimore Comic Con!
Molly
Nathaniel Richards/Kang The Conqueror/Immortus/Iron Lad/Rama Tut/Scarlet Centurion/Whatever the hell else he's been is officially the most confusing character in comics. Guest
Mark Texeira's gonna be at Baltimore Comic Con! Shit. It's time again already? When is it?
Koete
October 10th and 11th.
SuaveStar
I think Dc took Dini off of sirens. He's advertised on the DC page as writer, but then the preview has someone else doing the writing. Also, and this really is sad. March's Riddler is god awful, he looks weird and just plain wrong. Stavros
Just wanted to say that the latest issue of Witchblade is probably the most visually complex of the War of the Witchblades storyline that I've seen, and the brief look I had through has absolutely sold me on buying the trade. This is the first book since Arkham Asylum that I've bought PURELY on the merits of the art. Its stunning, there's a two page spread in the middle that needs to be a big freakin' poster on my wall. Missy
I'm assuming this is the page you mean:
Stavros
Yup. I mean what do you call that? Is it comic-book art? Not by normal standards its not, its art exhibition quality, its cover art to a book with a more conventional art style inside. I can find 10 example of work in that book that genuinely astounded me. The reveal of the dark witchblade and her pets, the final three panels of Danielle in the issue (especially the final one), its just amazing, especially in this issue with the complete witchblade-armour style forming significant portions of the backdrop as well. Its cracking work, and its a big tick in the buy column from me. Oh, and when I say I'm buying it purely for the art, that's not a strike against Marz. I've liked what I've read of the overall storyline as well, that's a contributing factor to me checking out the book more recently, its just that with this art Vince Russo or Dan Brown could be writing and I'd still being laying down my cash. Dread
Shit, Sejic has small panels that could be blown up poster-sized. The man's a genius.
Missy
For those of you who haven't read Witchblade #129 / aren't on the "Stjepan Sejic is a god" train, here are some more images from that issue:

SuaveStar
Anyone else seen the Superman: Secret Origin preview? It's like Smallville, done right.
Missy
I'm not crazy about it. As great as an artist as Gary Frank is, he can't draw children. They all look like miniaturized adults, especially Clark.
SuaveStar
True, Lex does look odd, but still, that's just the first issue or two in Smallville before he goes to Metropolis and at least Lex has hair.
