I'll second Dubs there. The entire central theme of the first film is defeated by all the sequels as well as the TV series which has to be in continuity due to the fourth film. It's like a double decker FUBAR sandwich with a side of FUBAR fries. That said, yeah, X-men is definitely second and its going to be hilarious seeing them try to justify the way they try to bridge continuity.

There's a podcast segment somewhere in there: the most fucked up movie / TV continuities. Off the top of my head, there's the X-Men movies (including the Wolverine spin-offs), Highlander (including the TV show), Terminator (again with the TV show), Universal Soldier, and Transformers (which DW outlined wonderfully).
