Kenny Evil
Bill mantlo (creator of rocket raccoon) could probably do with a few bucks if you can spare any. http://gregpak.com/love-rocket-raccoon-please-consider-donating-to-writer-bill-mantlos-ongoing-care/

Done. Rocket slides in there very nicely. Sigged. *giggle*
Dan
To clarify: the heart of the issue isn't "Why can't she see how obviously and earth-shatteringly amazing Rocket is", it's that I am having a difficult time stepping out of my fanboyishness (one of my favorite comics from my childhood is the issue of Incredible Hulk where the Hulk teamed up with Rocket from the Mantlo-Sal Buscema years to fight outer space robot clowns and a mad scientist turtle and whatever other insanity was happening there and it is awesome and you have to read it) to understand that Rocket, to the uninitiated, is fucking absurd. Venneh
I think I just explained it to her by saying imagine you were given the reins to a space opera and could write literally anything you wanted.
Dan
That's not too far off the mark. Guardians is basically "Star Wars with a funny animal raccoon and his insanely powerful ambulatory tree best friend."
Koete
Yeah, exactly. Marvel remembers when comics were fun. To be honest, I hope it's a little more serious than the trailer is casting it as. Looking back, I prefer Giffen's space opera to Abnett and Lanning's more comedic take with the characters. Though if Cosmo shows up, I'll have no complaints.
Chops
Really excited about this movie. Also, got to say, Chris Pratt looks amazing. Quite the transformation, body-wise, from Andy in Parks & Rec.
NightAngle04
Eh. Hopefully the next trailer actually shows what the story is about.
Molly
I just now got that John C. Reilly and Douche from Spaced who's last name I can't spell are wearing the Nova Corps logo!

JackFetch
New poster out and a new trailer is coming Monday. The Star Wars vibe is strong in this.
dc20willsave
One of the things I've noticed with the Marvel posters is that Disney isn't anyplace on them. Just a stray thought.I kinda like that. Gives some credential to Marvel as a mini-studio.

Venneh
...the trailer is just going to be these trailer previews stitched together, isn't it.
Missy
Some of the stuff we've seen here will be included, I'm sure. But I think the marketing team is smart enough to know to give more than that.
KnightWing
Thus far the preview clips amount to just under a minute of footage, and about 1/4th of that are just walls of text saying, "PLEASE. WATCH. THE FULL. TRAILER. COMING. SOON." So if the full trailer is over 2 minutes then there should still be a ton more to see.
