  1. I hope the Real Protagonists don't mind me posting this here, but the Tirades page on YouTube has a preview of the next episode: In addition to "No father would allow someone to disrespect his daughter like that" I would also add "No father worth his salt would allow his son to disrespect another man's daughter like that."
  2. Ha, thanks. But if the special edition DVD for the Halloween reboot has "The Scott Tibbs Documentary" as a special feature (As Saw II did) then I will be a fan of the new franchise no matter how bad the movies are.
  3. Maybe the people who survived the Halloween movies will form a support group about how he made their lives better by trying to kill them.
  4. How about the 2012 "Planet of the Apes" reboot, where every single human character is either evil, stupid or certifiably insane? I was rooting for humanity to be destroyed halfway through.
  5. A great article. Thanks for writing it.
  6. How about "The Happening?" Gaia is mad about pollution and she tries to kill off the human race. Seriously. "The Mist" offended me on a personal level because of the negative way it cast Christianity. Pure propaganda. Ruined the movie for me.
  7. Ah, yes. There are a couple big-name actors who probably wish they could erase that movie from history. Foreshadowing! I am looking forward to listening to this one. :-)

WWE needs to drop the Vladimir Putin gimmick soon. The situation in Ukraine is getting more serious. It's not funny, and while it's getting heat this has the potential to be a real public relations mess. Remember when WWE was forced to release Muhammad Hassan because the "terrorist" gimmick* became a public relations nightmare after the London bus bombings? It would be a waste to have to release Rusev because the Ukraine/Russia battle suddenly takes a much more serious turn. *Yes, I know the character wasn't actually a terrorist. But it was a hot potato anyway.
  9. Square-Enix has been releasing the Final Fantasy games on iOS and Android for a while now. Final Fantasy 1-6 are all on iOS. I recently purchased Dragon Quest VIII, which I loved on the PS2. Now, Dragon Quest IV has been released. The one thing I disliked about DQ4 on the DS is the fact that you had to hit the button after every attack, which was very tedious. That was fixed in the later DS remakes of DQ5 and DQ6, and well as the spectacular DQ9. Hopefully that will also be fixed for DQ4 on iOS. Thoughts on the iOS as a platform for console RPG's?

I can see that, if you have a lot of items.
  11. Listened today. I loved the Mexican Staring Frog reference. IT'S COMIN' RIGHT FOR US!
  12. The Spoony Experiment's vlog reviews of Twilight have been both epic and hilarious, and I can't wait to hear the Tirades' take on it. Downloading now..

Shoplifting is such an incredibly stupid thing for a celebrity to do. I cannot imagine an iPod case is out of her price range. Just buy the thing.
  14. Good post above about adjusting prices for inflation, Dubs. It puts today's prices into perspective.
  15. I have never seen Final Wars, but DW's description makes me want to see it. So I just added it to my DVD queue on Netflix and moved it to the top of the queue.

I'm about a month behind on Raw & Smackdown, since I don't have cable and the shows don't show up on WWE Network until a month after the original air date. With that in mind, here is my question: Is Rusev's character just a racist who hates black people? Seems strange that they keep booking him against black wrestlers.
  17. Ugh. I saw this pop up on Netflix a while back, and thought, "No way. Not watching that." But, again, a great episode. Your pain brings us so much entertainment.

  19. I think a reboot was totally unnecessary. That said, I enjoyed this one. It showed real guts at the end, and I was not expecting that at all. If I have a criticism, it's that the movies were out of order. All of the stuff with Parker's parents should have been in the first movie. It is not given nearly enough time in ASM 1, and we shouldn't have had to wait for the second movie to have it explained. It was very similar to the arc with the parents in the Ultimate Spider-Man arc that introduced Venom, and that's a great storyline. Grade: A+ The after credits scene, though, I hated. I really, really hated it. Traditionally, after-credits scenes in Marvel movies set up the next movie, but this one didn't set up anything at all. There will be no crossover. It was a commercial. It was nothing but one big tease.
  20. I just picked up the Age of Ultron hardcover. I absolutely hated the ending. I won't spoil it, but it was a complete copout that made the entire series a complete waste of time. This series had so much promise, but that was wasted.
  21. There are fewer things that I can say about a movie that are more negative than it is "worse than Bloodrayne." I think the second and third Transformers movies are actually worse than Bloodrayne. At least Bloodrayne had the courtesy of being only 95 minutes long. It was an incredibly long and boring 95 minutes, but at least it was not three hours. The thing I thought while watching this abomination on DVD back in 2006 is that Uwe Boll was trying to make a Monty Python movie, but he did not know that Monty Python movies are comedies. The blood effects reminded me of something out of "The Holy Grail." Except that was a much better movie. Anyway, great episode, as always. Mr. Deaux did a great job eviscerating this movie in the written Tirades back in the day, and I was really looking forward to the audio recording when it was announced. I'm sorry.
  22. I know who killed me? The Lindsey Lohan movie? I have never seen it, but I cannot imagine it is very good. The pain you guys go through for our entertainment...
  23. Resident Evil movies: Wesker was incinerated in Afterlife, only to be brought back in Retribution. No explanation was given as to how he got better after being incinerated. The whole of Retribution was one big continuity error, including the ending scene making the entire movie completely irrelevant. As to whether they belong in the Tiradesverse... that is up to Mr. Deaux and Mr. Wilkins. But what I am really anticipating is the upcoming review of Bloodrayne.
  24. This is pretty fun, but unfortunately the touch screen just doesn't provide the kind of tactile sensation needed for games like this. I got it for $0.99 and it's been worth the money, but I wish I had a controller.
  25. I didn't like it. Then again, I really hate shaky-cam.
