    Manhunt

I rented "Manhunt" for the PS2. While it is a cool concept (even if it's a ripoff of "The Running Man" featuring the Governor of California) it gets repetitive after a while. Sneak up on gang member, kill them in a gruesome way, repeat. Find some items along the way. If the fighting system was more complicated, it would be a much better game. Instead, the fighting system is light years behind the original "Double Dragon" game for the old Nintendo Entertainment System way back the late 1980's. I've got it for another few days, so it may get better, but right now I'm not all that impressed.
  2. What do you mean? The jump and fire buttons were reversed in Mega Man Anniversary Collection. BLAH! 15 years after playing the first Mega Man, it would be very tough to get used to that.
  3. What do you mean? I'm looking at getting the "mega man collection", of the games for the old NES.

    The PSP Thread

So the PSP will not play PS2 games?
  5. I saw a lot of people ragging on The Hulk before it came out, and it turned out pretty good. I'm waiting to see what they do with FF. From the trailer, it looks like it's going to be really cool. I hope whaty they are able to do with Hulk & Thing means Collosus will be in X3.
  6. Who was Toby McGuire before Spider-Man? Who was Hugh Jackman before X-Men?
  7. Will Smith is believable as an action hero, despite how unlikely it seems when you come across "Fresh Prince" re-runs. I just can't watch Reeves, though, without thinking "This is the guy from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
  8. Just got Final Fantasy 9. It is awesome. Either that or the one with 3/6 on it would be a good place to start. If you like the FF series, also check out Chrono Trigger.

    Goldeneye

OK. Picked up Goldeneye for the PS2, and it's quite fun. (Yep. I chose the PS2. Thanks for your help.) Here's my question. On Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and The World is Not Enough for the N64, I have my controller set up to use the "c" buttons to move, and the analog stick to look around. Is there any way I can do something similar with Goldeneye for the PS2? Say, use the keypad to move and the analog stick to look. I'm having trouble getting used to using two analog sticks and if I could use the keypad it would make the game easier to jump into. --ST
  10. OK, the reason I started this poll is that I'm considering upgrading from my N64. I've been looking, and I'm in the process of deciding which console system to get. I would get only one. Games for all three look good, but a key factor here is longevity. Which system is most likely to wither away? Other questions: When are the PlayStation 3 and X-Box 2 coming out? I don't want to get a system with a 6-month shelf life. Will the PS3 and/or XB2 be backwardly compatible with PS2 and XB games? Thanks for your help.
  11. Everything else being equal, this goes to Ultimate. He has superhuman strength, original Cap does not.
  12. Back to topic. This guy's lawyer ought to be disciplined for malpractice.
  13. Toe-to-toe, tough call. But Superman's speed and other powers lets hum beat Juggernaut.
  14. It is my understanding that the courts found that McDonalds coffee was hotter than industry standards and was thus dangerous. McFacts.
  15. It would make sense, given how high the characters jump in the SMB games.
  16. This month's Wizard lays out the strength levels for several of the heroes in Marvel's Ultimate universe. Most of the heroes (especially Thor, the Thing and the Hulk) are toned down dramatically from their counterparts in the "regular" universe. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Admittedly, I don't read many Ultimate books (other than an occasional issue of "Ultimate Spider-Man") so I haven't seen how these are handled, but it seems to me that it is too much of a drop from the main universe.

    Identity Crisis

Haven't heard anything. Check with your local comic store.

    Identity Crisis

SPOILER WARNING. The killer is... The Atom's wife. Seems she wanted to get back together with him, so she attacked Sue Dibney figuring Atom would come to her side. Mrs. Atom didn't intend to kill Sue, she just wanted to scare her. Of course, she could have just asked him to come back, and he probably would have. After a great run, the ending was lame.
  19. I agree 100%. He didn't develop his "humor" until part 3, anyway. No humor in this one. None at all. Here's an interesting question: will they delve into the backstory developed in "Freddy's Dead", such as Freddy having a wife and daughter? If they develop a new backstory, will they address and explain the old one, or will they ignore it?
  20. Actually, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was remade twice? The 2003 remake, and this: http://imdb.com/title/tt0110978/ At some point, I may rent this, just to see how bad it really is. I fear environmentalists with chainsaws...
  21. Both are cool, and I actually like the curmudgeonly attitude of "Marvel" Fury. But, I go with the original. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but he just seems like a cooler character. That and I'm not a huge fan of the "Ultimate" universe.
  22. Was thinking about this earlier. Marvel and DC have their own versions of Greek mythology woven into their universes. Do you think it would be a good idea for the companies to do some kind of a crossover with the Marvel versions meeting the DC versions?
