  1. I'm going to try those. For the poor geeks who want to cook for company or cook something that will last a few days... Will's Pizza Pasta Casserole You will need: 1 Medium sized Casserole Dish 1 Frying Pan 1 Pasta Pot 1 Colander (Or drainer) 1 pound dry pasta (I usually use Thin Spaghetti but dish works with any kind) 1 Jar Pasta sauce (Flavor doesn't matter) 1 4oz. Can Sliced Mushrooms About 20-30 slices of pepperoni 2-4 Cups Shredded Italian Cheese (I like the provolone and mozzarella blend that Sargento's does but to each their own.) 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Or any kind of Olive Oil really) Salt, Parmesan Cheese and Pepper to taste. 1. Pre-Heat the Oven to 350. Start boiling a pot of water. Put two teaspoons of the olive oil in the frying pan and saute the mushrooms until they're brown on both sides. Spoon your pasta sauce into the pan and stir occasionally. Once it's heated up, spread enough to cover the bottom of your casserole dish. 2. Once your water's boiling, salt it. Add the remaining tablespoon of EVOO to the water. This will keep the pasta from sticking and add a bit of flavor. Once pasta is pretty well done, drain into your colander. 3. In your caserole dish, put about half the pasta in. Cover with half of your remaining sauce, half your pepperoni, and half your cheese. Cover with your remaining pasta, remaining sauce, remaining pepperoni, and remainign cheese. Dust in Parmesan Cheese. 4. Put your pasta dish into your oven for about 15-20 minutes, enough time to get the cheese melty and bubbly and also brown the top layer. Remove from oven and cool for about ten minutes. 5. Chow down. Goes well with most breads. For a quicky garlic butter, just take the margerine or spread in your refrigerator and place desired amount in a bowl. Shake a bit of garlic salt in, stir, and spread on your bread or toast.

I like Lady Gaga because most of her music has a good beat, most of her songs are fun, and the feel is like a throwback to the 80's where the music was all about sex but they weren't just throwing it away. I'm eagerly awaiting the inevitable Lady Gaga/Madonna collaboration. In related news, God I feel gay.
  3. I rather hope this is just rumor mongering. Simone's Wonder Woman is the best I've ever read the character. I loved Rucka's take but Simone is actually trying t make her important to the DCU, exploring her mythology, and just making it a fun read. That and I'm still troubled from the Newsarama interview where Grant Morrison talked about his thoughts on Wonder Woman. I love Morrison but please stay away from Wonder Woman.
  4. Dark Horse has it solicited for June 2nd. Also mentions that the upcoming movie is part of a planned trilogy so yeah, entire story isn't getting compressed down to one movie!
  5. Did you watch just the first series or did you also watch Series 2 as well as Children of Earth? Just the first series, it was so bloody awful, and so much stupid "Sexy action!" like the alien who has sex with people then absorbs them, I just didn't enjoy the show. I've heard it gets better, but I just couldn't enjoy it. Push yourself to watch Series 2. The show is a lot more character oriented and there's less of an emphasis on the "Sexy Action!" The romance alone between Ianto and Jack is one of the contributing factors of awesome. You won't regret trying out series 2.

  8. Doctor Who Magazine confirms the writer's for this season. Steven Moffat is writing six episodes, Chris Chibnall (Wrote "42" and a fair amount of Torchwood episodes) is writing a two-parter, and Mark Gatiss ("The Unquiet Dead" and "The Idiot's Lantern"), Toby Whithouse ("School Reunion" and "Greeks Bearing Gifts" from Torchwood), Richard Curtis (wrote Four Weddings and a Funeral and every episode of Blackadder), Gareth Roberts ("The Shakespeare Code" and "The Unicorn and The Wasp") and Simon Nye (Writer on Men Behaving Badly) are each writing one episode.
  9. The State of the Union Address is possibly going to be on the 2nd this year, messing with the premiere of Lost. I personally don't care but I know some people who are over-reacting.
  10. At this point, I want Conan to leave NBC, go to ABC, and just blast Leno out of the water. Still, as it is now, outside of being disrespectful to him, Leno is getting busted down to a half-hour then and serving as little more than a warm-up act for Conan so either offer works.
  11. Depending on when my pal's wedding is, think I might hit up Motor City ComicCon. Both Ernie Hudson (Winston in Ghostbusters) and Adam West are going to be there.
  12. I knew that Leno wasn't going to last at his new time slot. I was just hoping his failure would rid us of him for good.
  13. I think Wonder's outfit as a Star Sapphire is mainly combining her own costume with that of most of the members of the Star Sapphire Corps. Personally, I just want a male Star Sapphire. Is some male fan service too much to ask? I could put up with Hal or Ollie becoming a temporary Star Sapphire. I'm actually trying to think of any male heroes that would be offered violet rings.
  14. Blackest Night Wonder Woman #2: I liked this one but had a problem with it at the same time. Most of the Blackest Night side-books are still a somewhat connected story. With issue 2, we jump right to Black Lantern Wonder Woman fighting Mera when last issue ended with WW flying off to Coast City. It mainly takes place during Blackest Night #6 and I enjoyed one part of the issue, especially what turned Wonder Woman's Black Ring off. Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love #3: Part 3 of what is essentially a supernatural spy story with a silly sub-plot about shoes. Still, Cinderella has been my third favorite character in Fables so it's still pretty good. The interaction between her and Aladdin is funny without being too corny. Suicide Squad #67: This is mainly an extension of Secret Six. That said, I loved it. It's the Secret Six/Suicide Squad crossover that I have been wanting since day one of the series. We really only get about five pages of Black Lanterns but the next issue of Secret Six appears to be that fight. JSA All-Star #2: I'm still not sure about continuing to get this book. On one hand, I like that art (other than half the characters were missing their eyes for the issue) and characterization but there's just something about the story that isn't getting me. On a side-note, the character of Geomancer is growing on me. He makes an awesome Wizard of Oz reference in there that makes me want to reread some of the Geoff Johns JSA because the character was apparently in there also. X-Factor: Nation X: I kinda liked this one-shot. I want Peter David to write one of the main X-Books after reading his Cyclops. There were a few laugh out loud moments and even a Rob Liefeld joke. It was more a character study than a story but forgivable. Weird Western Tales #71: I didn't really care for this one in the least bit. Then again, I've never been a huge fan of DC's western characters. Still, I didn't care for any of the living characters and it took looking it up to find any connection between the one-off character and Jonah Hex. Comic Books: 8 (5 DC, 2 Marvel, 1 IDW) TPBs: 0 HCs: 0 Graphic Novels: 0
  15. They've at least been able to improvise with what they've been given. The giant stone four toed foot at the end of season 2 was written in mainly as the writer's saying, "What screwy thing can we throw in this time?" Since then, the giant foot has become a very important plot point at the end of last season.
  16. Mike, I know you don't often give yourself post of the day, but Post of the Day.

    Netflix

Expect others to follow. I'm not following. Does this mean that in exchange for not getting new releases for a month after they've come out, I'm going to get more possible titles or am I getting no benefit out of this outside of still getting Warner titles in exchange for having to wait longer for the new ones?

Never give up hope. Trust in yourself and you can achieve anything. I think I just gave a Yu-Gi-Oh-esque friendship speech. I'm going to drink so I don't feel so dirty.
  19. I'm officially not in a writing class this quarter so I'm not going to be conflicted/be tempted to turn in the same story twice if I feel lazy. So, when every we want to set a deadline for a story/whatever, I'm good to go.

Oh reeeeeally? O_o As in "Countdown To Destruction," the greatest episode of Power Rangers ever? Hrm.... I was starting to dig RPM. It was kinda dark, as in they killed off most of the human race dark. On a kids show. Every episode ended like an episode of Lost with a THUMP and the titles on black. Well, got a cup of Earl Grey, now to drink it for my sore throat and go to bed at a reasonable hour.
  21. I think it's finally hit the point where I'm going to go and see Avatar. I've heard enough good things that I'm going to overlook my bias against the film. It's still got to be better than the last movie I went to see because everyone else was. Heh, Titanic. Such a funny movie.
  22. Then the series ends with a random baby from nowhere, unexplained. Always a great way to end a series. As for where it Jumps the Shark, I would guess the second wedding episode which does center around a super-villain played by Delta Bruke called The Wedding Destroyer.
  23. Picked up The Witches of Eastwick. Why does the TV show suck so badly when they had such a good diagram to go off of?

It should be. No, it really shouldn't. But, how would you be able to say that something is more fun than some other thing that is going on, which is also, in it's own way fun? You kinda answered your own question. I even bolded, italicized, and underlined it. I didn't strike it through because that would be repetitive.
