SuaveStar
You remember Black? The fun FPS for the PS2, that had destructible environments, and despite being incredibly shallow, it was still a really fun game. Well, the producer brought out a new game called Bodycount. I lasted half an hour before I turned the blurry garbage off.
MaxPower
What size monitor do most of you play video games on? I've got a 42" in the lounge, but I'm thinking of getting a second screen for the bedroom, for some time away from the housemates. I'm wondering how small I can go before losing too much quality. Guest
Got a Dynex 32" LCD for the HD stuff. 24" older one for everything else. I wouldn't go any smaller than that.
Stavros
32" is ideal, both because the price point is low because so many are made in that size and it's still a decent HD screen.
MaxPower
Nice, I was thinking either the 24" or 32", I'm leaning towards a 24" as I might use it for a computer monitor as well and I think 32" might be a bit big for that.
dc20willsave
Do you usually play any detail or text heavy games? If you do, you'll want the tv closer since it will be a little harder to read on the 24". A 32" is ideal for gaming really but whatever works for you. KnightWing
32'', I think, is the minimum for good HD gaming.

I'm using a 32" as my PC monitor right now. Granted it's because I do all my work sat on my bed since I don't have a desk, but for me the 32" is the ideal computer monitor size because I can actually see what I'm doing. Plus I watch all my TV through my PC.

bobobob_100
I want to know, why does every game need RPG elements to to them?
KnightWing
Not every game does, but in general they make things more fun. It's basically a rewards system. Play more, get more.
dc20willsave
Not only that but it's a way of your character growing outside of, oh, look, I picked up a random rocket launcher.
prez
If you type "serial killer" into Scribblenauts Remix, Dexter appears! That was pretty cool. SuaveStar
Dead Rising was a sort of fun, but really shallow game. Dead Rising 2 fixed a good amount of the problems in the first game and was really fun, and a joy to complete. Dead Rising 2: Off the record, has the annoying crap that didn't work in the first game, but now in the second game setting. I tried for two hours to get into the game, and when my guidance arrow disappeared for the seventh time, I just had to give up.

JackFetch
The difference between the crowds at the Modern Warfare 3 and Skyrim midnight launches was pretty drastic. MW3 had a lot of "bros" and they even had a football game going on in the parking lot. Skyrim had a lot of full beards and skinny jeans. JackFetch
Miyamoto is stepping down at Nintendo They need some fresh blood right now. The 3DS is a failure, and they have lost a lot of the casual market to cell phones and the Kinect. Skyward Sword wasn't ready to be released or it wouldn't have a huge game-breaking bug in it. Unfortunately, perception is reality these days, and the perception is that Nintendo is getting lazy.
