Guest DCAUFan1051
I agree Preston... I liked when Leno was on the Tonight Show. And stating the obvious here we all know NBC execs are dicks... this is the 2nd time they've pulled a stunt like this.
MaxPower
Yeah, but didn't Leno say back when the deal was first inked "by that time, I would have had 17 wonderful years on this show, I'll be 59 and the time will be right"... He could have said no when NBC proposed all of this, and that would have put an end to it all, but he didn't, he went along with what NBC wanted... Saying that Leno isn't the bad guy is like saying Hogan is innocent for not moving on to help the next gen of wrestlers. Both Hogan and the writers/company need to share responsibility, just like Leno and NBC.
Koete
Guys. GUYS. Pee Wee Herman is on Conan right now.

Koete
Conan's last costly fake bit: ancient sloth fossil spraying caviar on an original Picasso. $65 million. Nice clipshow of Tonight Show moments. Now Conan's getting an "exit interview" from Steve Carrel. If you didn't know, Tom Hanks coined CoCo. Great performance by Neil Young. Really nice and classy remarks from Conan.

Venneh
Conan, I have to tip my hat to you here. You are one classy guy.
SuaveStar
Never watched Conan before all this started, and I have to say, he's damn funny. The send off felt more like a Will Ferrell thing than a Conan thing, to me atleast.
Dread
Loved to see Conan ripping on the Free Bird solo. I hope he made NBC pay for the guitar. It would have been great if Ben Harper was singing.
Professor
I am glad they want out of a fun note. I was expecting an emotional speech to end the show, but Conan rocking out was a really fun way to end things.
Nicolette Opal
I like that the "emotional speech" was prior to the ending. I thought "Freebird" was plenty appropriate.
MaxPower
Great final episode. Wonder if he's worried about the expectations that will now be on him on a new network. FOX should just give him the same deal as the Simpsons, as in he can rip them all he likes, keep the 'rip on the boss schtick' going. Dread
Conan's landed a production deal...with NBC!!! I hope he casts himself.
Guest tnr105
Jay Leno is on the Oprah Winfrey Show right now, giving his side of the story. He also has a "big announcement" to make. On the commercial preview thing he looks really pissed. Might be worth watching.
JackFetch
Conan is paying his 50 person staff that isn't covered in the NBC deal 6 weeks of severance out of his on pocket. http://www.tmz.com/2010/02/02/conan-obrien-tonight-show-payout-nbc-severence/
SuaveStar
Conan's going on tour to kill time.
dc20willsave
If the Chicago dates weren't in the middle of the week, I'd try to go since that's the only one even remotely close.
MaxPower
So his twitter account was just a ruse to promote his tour, although he's not taking money from it, so that's another bright mark for him. On returning to late night TV, does anyone think it will actually help Leno? I think Conan's audience is more like Lettermans audience, so those two could end up in a battle with Leno on the sidelines not losing out much? Missy
Niki tried to buy tickets for the Chicago shows, but they're sold out.
