Molly
Hey, hey, he's doing stuff again. Stuff!
dc20willsave
Well, if that's not already a room of improvement, then I don't know what is.
prez
That's how bad the book is now? We're supposed to get excited about a reference to the character's own history that's been around for 75 years? Bravo, JMS. By the way, according to the last issue I read, Wonder Woman is a big fan of thrash metal. Yeah.

We're supposed to get excited about a reference to the character's own history that's been around for 75 years? Bravo, JMS. That page is from the first post-JMS issue, in which Chris Roberson has taken over writing duties. It's exciting because it represents a turnaround from JMS' take, in which Superman didn't act like Superman.
KnightWing
It's also notable because Superman's been off dealing with Kandor and space craziness for a long while, so he hasn't been doing "real" Superman stuff for a long, long time. He's saying "Bravo" sarcastically for the most overrated comics writer in history fucking up a comic so bad, that even one of the lamest one page sequences I've ever seen is worth getting worked up about. KnightWing
I don't think it's lame; I think it's great. Not incredible or anything, but still really cool.

It doesn't have me jumping up and down or running out to buy the issue; I'm just glad that a sinking ship is getting taken to shore.

SuaveStar
Flashpoint will be previewed inside DC's FCBD comic. Also included, is a classic issue of Green Lantern.
Venneh
From Superman 707, aka WHAAAAAAA: (Please note: I don't know if Robinson worked on this issue. I"m just confused.)
Koete
It's by Chris Roberson, and I'm assuming this part was missing:
Venneh
...I'm just going to assume this random bit was one of the parts written by JMS before he hightailed it and Roberson was contracturally obligated to put it in.
KnightWing
It's like he's trying to redo some of the stuff from All-Star Superman. And failing miserably.
Koete
Not really. He's using the Superman Squad as part of a bigger plot to explain why JMS' Superman had a case of Superdickery.
KnightWing
Ohhhhh. So this is actually Superman from the Douchebag Universe.

dc20willsave
Cornell's entire run so far has been perfect. Luthor has been allowed to stay Luthor without feeling neutered as can happen when you put a villain in the spotlight. I kinda hope that Cornell continues writing Luthor for a few more years. His Luthor story ends with #900. But he says he's staying on after Superman comes back.
