Whenever I have read a comic with Peter Parker I have no problem with him. In the movies I just really want him to die. That's Tobey Maguire syndrome. Damn you, and all of your kind. All Spiderman seems to do is beat up some guy who is down on his luck, or his wife just died, or his life long dream was pissed on, or something with their kid or whatever. That sounds just like what I said. I want to get back to the fun that was the first movie, and the only way to get that is to have Peter and Mary Jane get married. The comics were really fun when they got married because he was balancing being a husband, getting their own place, and being Spider-Man all at the same time. I'd rather see a happy Peter than that mess that was in the last movie. Make the story about the villain, and not Peter and MJ's relationship,and for God's sake have a real villain that is just evil so I don't have to feel sorry for him. Since all the stars are back we can assume it will continue the same story, but that's not even mentioned in the article you linked. I'm hoping for Vulture in the next one. His story is just cool. I couldn’t imagine making one without her, and I think she’s an important part of the movies.” He also taked about 4 and 5 being filmed back to back. The filmmaking legend also revealed to us that there is a lot of truth behind rumors that he might shoot the next two “Spider-Man” films at the same time. “That had been talked about,” he said, deferring to the head of his studio. “It’s Amy Pascal’s decision. I don’t think it has been decided yet, and she’s the one that’s really going to make that decision; I’m really curious myself.” By his own admission, “Spider-Man 3” was an exhaustive film to shoot, but Raimi is confident he can handle the double duty. “It would be a real endurance test, probably only Peter Jackson knows how hard something like that would be,” he marveled, hinting that “4” and “5” would be very closely linked in storyline. “If Tobey and me, and all the producers, like the story for two pictures and Amy wanted to do it, then we would do it. I read that she thinks the part is too small for her now that she is a star and she'd only be doing them a favor by being in it. "I'm the last person they call," she said at today's Zack & Miri Make a Porno junket. I couldn't help but wonder - is it even worth it for her? By the third Spider-Man film, Banks was a legitimate movie star, and yet she was still relegated to a gussied up walk on role. Banks herself isn't quite certain if coming back makes sense. Raimi said the film has to make the announced May 6, 2011 release date. "We have to make the release date, and on all of these pictures, the 'Spider-Man' films--and I'm sure it's the same as with many of the other bigger-budgeted films--they have release dates far in advance of a screenplay," he said. "So it's about getting it ready the best you can in time for the first day of production. That's what we've always done, and that's what we'll try to do again." The helmer also told Empire magazine he will have full control over the fourth installment - something he didn't have on the third. "They really gave me a tremendous amount of control on the first two films, actually," he said. "But then there were different opinions on the third film and I didn't really have creative control, so to speak." He added that "The best way for me to move forward on films, is that I've got to be the singular voice that makes the creative choices on the film. I love Spider-Man so much that I'd like to continue telling Spider-Man stories. The women walking by him aren't impressed, they're giggling. I mean, it didn't come off well, and it was a rare miss on Raimi's part, perhaps, but it's hardly the biggest flaw with that film. He really only has a passion for the "classic" stories and villains. That's probably why the films have a total lack of the modern Spidey humor and are basically retellings of the 60s comics. ...it's hardly the biggest flaw with that film. Evil Peter was the best thing about Spidey III. He was freakin' awesome, almost a call back to those classic Superman issues where he's being a dick to everyone.
