Superman: Man of Steel

I actually don't think I've seen anything with Richard Pryor in it. Would this be a good place to start or not?

Yes, and no. It really depends on if you want to see a comedy Superman film, where the main Metropolis cast is booted in the first fifteen minutes, you get a secondhand Lex Luthor clone, and that really is a waste of time.

Watch movies where he teams up with Gene Wilder, such as See No Evil, Stir Crazy, and Silver Streak. Watch them, and then watch Superman III, and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

The first scene of Superman III was enough to turn me off. It was WAY campier than the museum scene done to Prince.

Again, don't watch it as a Superman film with Richard Pryor, watch it as a Richard Pryor film with Superman in it.

Not going off track on this thread, but Pryor openly admits in his autobiography he was doing cocaine at the time of signing on for Superman III, and regretted it, as he didn't read the script. But he got through it by doing a lot of drugs, and having an affair with Margot Kidder.

Where else can you have a forum that has pictures of Joseph Stalin AND Steel Magnolias in the SAME thread?

Someone's never been to the Shirley MacLaine Communist Conspiracy fan forum.

Ummm, what?

It's a joke.
