KnightWing
He can be a little generic at times, but he also scored The Lion King, so I can't help but respect him. I'm optimistic that this will be one of his better scores.
slothian
Guys, this is going to shock some of you so you might want to sit down...Hans Zimmer is scoring Man of Steel. Poppycock sir! The next thing you know, Timothy Burton will hire Mr Daniel Elfman to set music to his latest filmographic presentation!

The next thing you know, Timothy Burton will hire Mr Daniel Elfman to set music to his latest filmographic presentation! Or hire Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter for said presentation! Gareth
I've really liked all of Hans Zimmer's scores, I think he'll do a good job.
dc20willsave
Zimmer is one of my favorite currently active film composers. I have listened to death the soundtrack for Inception. I have more than a little faith here. It'll probably borrow a cue from the Williams but the Williams borrowed a bit from the fanfare from the radio show. Stavros
Some people have a thing about certain iconic film scores but I actually think that's often the part that can best be replaced or complemented. Zimmer's score for Batman isn't judged by Elfman's original, they're both great. John Williams' score for Phantom Menace is as good as his original work on that trilogy. It's possible to live up to the legend of what was with the right talent.
Delete
Because of the mighty hand of Nolan this will not be in 3D
Missy
According to BleedingCool, it will be 2D, 3D, and 3D IMAX.
Delete
That was yesterday's story which Warner Bros corrected today
KnightWing
Yeah, the IMAX people retracted their statement about that. AICN got this response from WB.
Venneh
First footage indicates we're getting alienated Supes out of this

NightAngle04
That reviewer used the term "squid" or "squid like" 4 different times. Did anyone else notice that? That's all I could think about reading it, so the reviewer didn't like Watchmen then?
JackFetch
He was trying to tie the squid-like stuff to there not being a giant squid in Watchman. He was reaching way too far trying to be cheeky.
JackFetch
A crappy cam version of the teaser has surfaced.

You Know Who
Saw the trailer right before The Dark Knight Rises began...whoa. Superman breaks the sound barrier when he flies--AWESOME! I wish they did that more often in film or TV depictions of super-fast superheroes.
JackFetch
Why does he have contrails coming off his feet? That looks ridiculous.
Stavros
Saw the trailer before DKR. Learned nothing, except that for some reason this Clark Kent seems to be living the road-weary hobo lifestyle of David Banner. Quite confused. KnightWing
Why does he have contrails coming off his feet? That looks ridiculous. Contrails are frequently formed by air pressure along wing tips, so yes, if he's angled his feet the right way, he might leave contrails. JackFetch
It still looks stupid. There is a reason he's never been shown that way before.
Stavros
Because the only film where they had the tech for it they didn't think of it? I've no issue with it as long as he's at the appropriate altitude.
Missy
The whole "I'm lonely" thing is fine by me, as long as it's limited to this film. At the end of Man of Steel, he should come to learn that he is accepted by the world, thus providing us with a happier Superman in the eventual sequel. JackFetch
We got enough mopey Supes in the last movie. I'm trying so hard to get excited for this. Superman is my favorite Superhero. I really want it to be done right.
Stavros
Are you confusing mopey with creepy?
