slothian
Would I be annoying if I noted that the events of the play were technially in reverse? I'm guessing the answer would be yes....
Guest
You'd just be saving me from pointing it out.
James D.
A minor technicality. My favorite part is "Ophelia likes flowers. Flowers, flowers, flowers, flowers, flowers...oh, look, a river." "Ophelia joined the group "Maidens Who Don't Float".
dc20willsave
I'm trying come up with an alcolic beverage worthy of being called a Sonic Screwdriver. Possibilities thrown my way have included Vodka and Sunny D; Vodka, Orange Juice, and Red Bull; Vodka, Sunny D and Blue Curacao; or Vodka and Blue Raspberry Kool-Aid with a splash of red bull. Molly
Since a Screwdriver has Vodka and Orange juice, vodka, Red Bull and Orange makes sense thematically.
Missy
It has to be blue, since that's the color of the modern Sonic Screwdriver. But it also has to have OJ, otherwise it's not a Screwdriver. So you need something that will make the juice blue.
Molly
Big problem there, blue and orange make brown. That's a hard sell.

Apparently a sonic screwdriver is Vodka, Orange juice, and Blue Curacao. I saw another recipe suggesting blue Gatorade but Gatorade and alcohol don't mix all that well unless you want to get smashed really fast. Then again, a sonic screwdriver should be able to open anything so....
Missy
But see, I never said to put anything blue in it. I said, "You need something that will make the juice blue." Can you mix anything with orange that will make blue?
Dread
Try it with Melon liquer instead of Curacao. It's called a "She'll fuck ya."
Venneh
Speaking of drinks, I'm still trying to convince my parents to try a concotion my friends and I whipped up one night - hot chocolate (especially Godiva's milk chocolate hot chocolate), Chambord, and vanilla schnapps. Take that, ungodly cold! Also: Battlestar Galactica Facebook

SuaveStar
I just found the Family guy-Something, Something Dark Side. Anyone want a link, PM me. Did you enjoy it? For me it was mediocre compared to Blue Harvest. Blue Harvest was disappointing as well to me. Anyway, I thought it was ok, but at the same time, it was poor in comparison to BH. Some of the jokes were good, but others were just terrible. I did laugh at the Meg joke and the opening dig at Fox was funny.

Guest
After a season of growing out my facial hair and buying a pair of personality glasses, I just looked in the mirror and realized I now bear a staggering resemblance to one Michael David Sims. I don't know what that says about my future.

Venneh
Apologies if this sounds like a pity party, but. It's been confirmed by Mom that the parents are in marriage counseling. Divorce may be a possibility. Now, I'm more or less on the periphery, what with college and all, but the younger two girls are dealing first and foremost with this. Any advice from those of you who've dealt with this as to how to help them process stuff?
Guest
I don't think there's anything you can say or do that will prepare them so much as the act of being there for them. My parents divorced almost immediately after I was born, so I never got used to the idea of them together, but I imagine there's not much that can be said that's going to prepare you for that at any age. Venneh
I mean, hell, the only way I found out about this was them telling me the other day that Mom and Dad were in marriage counseling. They know a hell of a lot more than I do about all of this. And Mom just came out to them about all of this tonight, when the girls have known for I think months now. I guess its more a question of, how do I be there for them when I don't have a damn clue what's going on and they do?
