Professor
It is always nice to see a guy get a shot. OLE~~!
Guest
Great for the guy but I'm sort of at a loss as to what exactly they will do with him. They're not going to let him do his kind of match and he can't promo to save his life.
Stavros
To be fair, that's his gimmick. I do hope they bring him up as a similar masked man, I don't want to see a tan guy called Bench McClusky showing up on NXT in a couple of months. Yes I picked a random name and something in my field of vision for the name. In the true wwe fashion.
SuaveStar
Rumors have been circulating all day long that WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres would be leaving the WWE after her match against Kaitlyn during tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw. Kaitlyn would win the match, and with it the Divas Championship, confirming Wrestlezone's earlier report. During the commercial break, Eve quit in an interview with WWE's "Second Screen" app. WWE.com has the full story here. Her profile was immediately removed from WWE's website. Eve joins the laundry list of former Divas to leave the company in the last 12 months, including Beth Phoenix, the Bella Twins, Kelly Kelly, Kharma, and several developmental talents. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/266625-breaking-top-wwe-diva-quits-after-raw-match
dc20willsave
Oh, one less diva. My heart breaks. Where shall this talented woman make money now? *ring* Oh, that was Hollywood on the phone. They don't have a job but they did offer up a coupon for a workshop on how to get into Internet Porn. JackFetch
She's the face of the Gracie Academy's "Women Empowered" self-defense program, and about to get married. She'll be fine.

Professor
Finished the match portion of the Punk DVD. I still question the match selection. Not the lack of indy stuff, but more the random matches. The Extreme Rules Jericho match was better than their Mania match. Mysterio and Punk have had better matches than the hair match. Do the same people, but the better match in the series. Also, the crowd is great to watch in the final three matches. Insane for the MITB title match, largely silent (or open air stadium problems) for Mania, and then very hot for Punk/Bryan. Makes the Jericho match seem less important. Onto the Dusty Rhodes set next, if you will.
Kscriv
In all honestly I thought the Lucha de Apuestas match (yes, wrestling nerd) was the best Punk/Rey match, which one would you put ahead?
Professor
Off the top of my head, Nexus Punk vs. Mysterio at Capital Punishment was a better match. I just hate the long 'injury' break in the match. Match only went 13ish minutes, and at least three were Rey being dead after tackling the barber chair. Hair matches always seem rushed as the match time is cut to make time for the hair cutting
SuaveStar
The Royal Rumble is this weekend. Not to sound snarky, but is anyone actually looking forward to the rumble match? I'm looking forward to seeing Punk VS The Rock, but that's it.
JackFetch
You mean Punk vs Rock right?
SuaveStar
You mean Punk vs Rock right? Yeah, my mistake. Fixed it now.
Stavros
I always look forward to the rumble, it's my favourite gimmick match ever.
Missy
That and old school Survivor Series matches were my favorites.
Professor
The build for the Rumble has been sub-par. And the likely Cena win (or not, because it is too obvious. SWERVE~!) just kinda makes the hype meh. Granted, I always love the Rumble match itself live. More from the levels of detail they put into these things than anything else. Dread
I was going to write about Jim Duggan teaming up with Demoltion in a 6-man tag against Andre the Giant and the Twin Towers (is that right?) at a Survivor Series...until I remembered it was a Summerslam. One of my all-time favorite matches. Edit: Y'know...looking back, as a kid I never realized how ridiculously racist a white biker named Akeem in a dashiki was. PS: Jesse Ventura on color-commentary was the fucking greatest.
dc20willsave
Even though I haven't watched Wrestling in nearly a year, I kinda want to watch the Rumble this year just because its the Rumble.
Guest
Summerslam 89. That was the one with ZEUS in the main event. Akeem was more a shot at Dusty Rhodes than anything overly racist. Slick was worse.
Dread
I liked him when he was ONe Man Gang better. No denying the badassitude of both Boss Man and Hacksaw. Fucking time of titans doing battle. Love that period.
Guest
I think I want to make an entire album of wrestling promos set to music.
James D.
I haven't actively watched wrestling in at least six years, but the only PPV I would still maybe shell out money for is the Rumble. It's just fun. I went to the 2002 (I think) RR in Atlanta and it was awesome.
