Molly
He was in Hellraiser: Hellworld. He can't be all that bad...ok, nevermind. I honestly don't give a shit until they announce the guy doing the voice of the giant robot that Superman fights. come again? He's saying that this movie has little to no value until we get to see Superman beat the fuck out of something. I'm inclined to agree. Delete
http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=20497&count=0 Christian Bale has already agreed to return for any film that Nolan wants him for, but what does that actor think of Cavill as Superman? When E! Online asked Bale that exact question during the SAG awards, Bale looked at the reporter with a blank look, before stating: "Well done for whoever you mentioned." KnightWing
I wouldn't doubt Bale's douchebaggery.
slothian
It is just possible that Bale's never heard of the guy, but hey, let's paint him as a douchebag - after all, he once got angry when filming a scene for a movie.
KnightWing
Oh hush. You're just defending him 'cause he's a Brit.

JackFetch
The guy will be (probably)eventually working with him, and talks to Nolan on a regular basis. There is no way he doesn't know who he is.
Koete
If someone from E! (other than Joel McHale) asked me something, I'd give them a blank look too.
MaxPower
If someone from E! (other than Joel McHale) asked me something, I'd give them a blank look too. Haha, so true. Joel McHale is hilarious, mainly because he picks on E! as much as everyone else.
Molly
Christian Bale is a douche. I don't care, he's still monstrously talented.

I'm afraid you missed the sarcasm engendered within the second half of that sentence. And K-Dubs, I'm not defending him because he's British (although that's an excellent character trait to have), I'm stating that the internet blows the littlest thing out of proportion and people lazily ascribe it to a preconceived notion of what a person they've never actually met is like. You Know Who
Christian Bale is a douche. I don't care, he's still monstrously talented. He's an asshole, not a douche. Douches lack redeeming qualities, unlike assholes. What did y'all think about Tom Deja's idea about who should play Lois Lane in BITD #100? You Know Who
For the record, what was his idea? Go and listen to BITD #100 and find out. 'Twas an awesome episode.
ShaunKL
The idea was Carla Gugino. (Spy Kids and Watchmen are the only two things I can name off the top of my head.) I think she's just past that point of no return to where she could pull off Lois Lane. Also, I don't think I'd like to see her as Lois Lane anyways. KnightWing
Oh god, yeah, no. Just no. I've seen her in too many cartoony roles to take her seriously, and she's too old now.
You Know Who
yeah you're right...she's sexy but too old; she'd be alright as Cat Grant methinks
Stavros
Since Hollywood is obsessed with making women redye their hair for comic book roles right now, as well as having actors portray multiple roles across DC and Marvel I nominate January Jones for Lois Lane. TDK_theBatmaN
I don't understand why not hearing of someone before makes Bale a douchebag or an asshole. I'd never heard of the guy either. I didn't realize Tom Hardy was in Star Trek: Nemesis when I saw Inception, but I had seen parts of him in Nemesis. KnightWing
I don't really trust that story. Three actresses competing for a principal lead actress role which is NOT Lois Lane? The only way that works is if she's a villain, and that doesn't make much sense.
dc20willsave
Yeah, there aren't many female Superman villains, let alone ones that can be big enough for a movie. Off the top of my head: The Contessa (Doesn't work without Lex or Cadmus.) Silver Banshee (Low scale) La Encantadora (I think I'm the only one who remembers this chick.) Maxima (Doesn't work in the first movie.) Parasite (Why use the female Parasite that's barely still in continuity anyway?) Mercy (Once again, only if Lex is there.) Blaze (People might be confused why Supes is fighting Girl Satan.)
Missy
What about Livewire? Could be Lana, too.
